No wonder they are only sending Ukraine soviet and cold war era trash to be seized or destroyed by Russian forces and Zelensky just won't give up.

This shouldn't surprise anyone because the US has done the same with the Georgians in 2008, giving them weapons and support, making the Georgians believe that the US was going to protect them, but left them to loose against Russia while Sakaashvili irreversibly ruined his own electoral prospects.

Same Story with the Kurds, whom the US supplies with weapons and offers moral support, only to be abandoned by the US when they are about to be attacked as seen in Syria. Syrian Kurds wan't dialogue with Assad and the Russians, but the US won't let them and openly threatens those, who wan't to. Yet the Kurds still hold out for the US.

The Greeks were not much different during the Cyprus war, the gave them weapons and nothing but empty promises, only to help Turkey take the Borth of Cyprus, yet the Greek government still holds out for the US and EU.

Now its the same with Ukraine. Ukrainians hold out for the US, hoping the US is going to be their guardian Angels, only to be left behind when they are done for. And for the Americans, don't lie, because you all know all too well how this will end. Your weapons, support, "aid", it will all be for nothing. Unless Ukraine surrenders and demilitarize, more will die and Russia will take more and more of their land. If Zelensky keeps it up, Ukraininians will suffer the same fate as the Greeks, Kurds, Georgians and other US "allies" had in the past. But then again, i don't think that Comedian cares, because he will use Ukrainian tax money to buy himself a nice house in the US and live there like Georgia's former President Sakaashvili did after the war.

The Ukrainian war will have a major geopolitical impact on the world and hopefully, US looses more of their "allies".

Whenever the subject reads ‘admits’ my BS meter hits redline.

I agree. They need to symbolically storm the Winter Palace.
Why leave when Russia is pretty much winning in Ukraine?
"But Kiev..." Kiev is only an afterhtought, all that matter is to exterminate the huge bulk fo Ukrainian forces stuck in the Donbas.

Ukraine will cost the Ruskies more gold and blood than a dozen Afghan wars.

Wow, seriously?

If getting 40,000+ of Russian soldiers killed, injured or captured to achieve nothing but death and destruction in Ukraine and total economic devastation at home is "winning"....then Russia can't possibly lose.

Do you have any idea how brainwashed you sound to anyone not hooked up to PutinTV?

Putin wanted to control Ukraine, talked about how he considers Russians and Ukranians one people - but his bloody invasion has ensured that Ukraine will have nothing but deep hate for Russia for a very long time. He will never control them, will never win their hearts and minds. Ukrainians and Russians are now two peoples firmly separated indefinitely.

Putin wanted to weaken NATO, but his invasion strengthened and re-justified it's core mission of protecting it's members from Russia's bloody "special operations". Previously neutral countries like Sweden and Finland are quickly moving towards joining NATO.

Pretty much? Like the SU pretty much won in Afghanistan and the US pretty much won in Vietnam? :rolleyes-41:

A very good dissertation for sure, but now to the reality----------->

To understand it, go back to Gulf war I. How many of you have studied what happened before the mass build up of American troops? In case you did not, here is the pertinent fact----->

The country being invaded ceded land to the USA right in the advance of the enemy. Bush number I quickly put down either 500, or 5000 troops......don't remember the exact number but it was small, planted an American flag and told them; "you attack here, you are attacking the United States of America as it is our Sovreign territory!" Enemy advancement STOPPED instantly.

So who/whom decided not to do this with all your examples, up to and including Ukraine? Was it Zelensky? Biden? Nato? A collaboration of all 3? Makes no difference! Once the decision was made by whomever did it, politically you knew that all Ukraine was going to get was military, material help, if that; and it probably depended upon how long they could keep the war going.

With the Russians being on the Ukranian border for so long, it wasn't like these people did not have time to contemplate this, so to say they never thought about it would be silly. But once, for whatever reason, they did not do it, the writing was on the wall of how NATO was going to handle this.

You can agree, or disagree with the decision all you want, but that is what politicians do, do politics, and as sure as I am writing this, the decision was made for or against this, behind closed doors, long before the Russians crossed the Ukranian border.

Here is the ACTUAL QUOTE:

The Washington Post wrote explicitly: "For some in NATO, it’s better for the Ukrainians to keep fighting, and dying than to achieve a peace that comes too early or at too high a cost to Kyiv and the rest of Europe."

Where the fuck do you see anything about "proxy war on Russia"??

It's about the long term cost to Ukraine and Europe if Russian take away from this conflict is that invasions pay off.

40.000? Where did you get that fake number from? Twitter?
Russia has officially lost like 1500 soldiers, which is nothing compared to what Russians lost in WW2. Unlike Ukraine, Russia can afford those losses, Ukraine, not so much with most of their military hardware and infrastructure gone.
Russia wins this way either way and your investments and "aid" will be for nothing.

While you are all worried about Russia, better take a look at China and North korea. The time of inaction is over and when all your enemies decide to move, there is nothing the US or NATO can do.

I mean seriously, other than the US or UK, no NATO member is economically or militarily able to take on Russia, let alone China and with North Korea, Iran, most of the middle east and Latin America, we will form a multipolar order that will be the end for the US dollar and US dominance.

Pretty much? Like the SU pretty much won in Afghanistan and the US pretty much won in Vietnam? :rolleyes-41:
I mean, the US couldn't defeat the very terrorists they created, Russia did if necessary. If you are going to create more terror groups like ISIS or Taliban, at least make sure you can defeat them in case they turn on you, but clearly the US can't.

As for Vietnam, the Vietcong put Russian weapons and training to good use. When it comes to Afghanistan, well, Russia and China are going to make trade with them, not that the Taliban ahve much choice. They give us the resources, we give them money and new infrastructure initiatives.

Russia has officially? Thats a laughable argument for ANYTHING at this point. Your government has pissed away any shred of credibility it may have had.

Russia officially was not invading Ukraine, they were officially just conducting training on their own land.
Russia officially sais there is no war in Ukraine and anyone who publicly claims otherwise can be jailed under their new law. That law has effectively put out of existance any independent reporting that was still left in Russia.
Russia officially did not kill civilians in places like Bucha. We literally see Russians on video killing civilians, in a civilian head-shot-corpse ridden Bucha.

Russia officially lies and lies a lot. Kremlin's lies are often brazen, transparent and ridiculous.

Ukraine's government lies and exagurates as well. Russian death toll is probably not 20,000 they claim, but that official "1500" number you've used just makes you look stupid.

Ukrainian forces still make propaganda by publishing unverified statistics about Russian losses, yet are too relunctant to tell their losses.

Here is a hint though, Ukraine has lost the majority of their military industry, infrastructure, comms, airforce, fuel and hardware.

Well thank god you are here to give us such invaluable hints.

Maybe you can give us another one - is there a war in Ukraine?

Yep....it's calculated....has to be
Why else would Putin take on a well armed, NATO trained army of 620,000 with a much smaller force of 175,000 armed mostly with stuff from the Military scrap yards? This thing has many different purposes....not the least of which is to decouple from the dollar system.

Of course ...NATO only cares about NATO....it needs a tax base to support itself ...IMO they are looking at Ukraine.

Zalensky would have been safer with Putin.
