National constitutional carry bill heading to Congress

Yes, unconstitutional restrictions on law abiding citizens walking down a street with their gun if they happen to walk past a school.
Ok, well, let's see where this goes

In the EU and UK, we don't walk in a public place with guns, they are fun free zones. You will find there's no need. The US suffers greater crime, nose bleeding levels of gun deaths, much higher knife deaths, and dreadful statistics. Having guns on you to protect yourself is a fallacy, the stats and reality shows you that. But the planet can't fix stoopid. Most yanks have never been outside of their borders and thus don't have a grasp on reality.
Hmm, you really can't own a gun in the uk can you? I mean you can, but you have to jump through hoops to do so, right? There must be a need, not everyone can own one, right?

Not illegal , you just need to carry the ******* thing and not leave it in your rig ( as your whole rig can be stolen or towed to an unscrupulous Tow Yard ) almost half of stolen firearms used in Crimes are taken from Vehicles . If your gonna have a doctor do a prostate exam or your going into a Sporting event that will preclude a wanding then leave your piece at home ( or have a Fabrication / Welding Shop create a Car Safe for your piece that a Machinist Locksmith could not penetrate
Wow! The paranoia and authoritarianism are strong with this one! No thanks!

It's been over 200 years since we last kicked your asses.

Maybe it's time again.

Better yet, we should annex Canada. The would piss your idiot leaders off to no end. Maybe they'll even ~ gasp! ~ INVADE!! :auiqs.jpg:
Those row boats will take a long time to cross the Atlantic since they basically eliminated their Navy.

Omg, another thick yank

You mean the English that understands what “ A Bunch of Fives “ means or the English that understands what a Pistol Carry Permit is ?
Just think, our University of Oxford dates back to 1096 and the interesting fact is, not one shooting!!

Am I wrong? I've read stories about owning a gun in the UK, it's very difficult and you need to have a reason.

It's not difficult. Fill in the application form and pay the fee. You need one referee for a shotgun and two for a firearm. This is done through your local police force. They check your police, driving ,and medical records. If you're on social media, they check those. Then you get interviewed at your home, family members are interviewed too. Your referee(s) are interviewed too. You need a gun cabinet bolted to a solid wall. You need a reason for the gun, so you say you go clay pigeon shooting, or pheasant shooting, or you're part of a shooting range club for a firearm. When you pass that, the police will turn up with your certificate/licence and they will check your cabinet. Then go to a gun shop and buy away. The police will advise you to buy a few firearms and not one or two, I kid you not.

The above separates our stats from yours because the 2ndA arms the nutters. Our system vastly reduces the nutters having guns. And you DO NOT carry them in public places, you have them unloaded in a gun bag or box and transported in your car.

If you **** up any of that process, as in certain things on your record prevents you having a gun, then that is your fault. Breach the gun law, kiss your guns goodbye.

But the yanks are just obsessed that guns in the UK are banned. Who teaches them such crap? School?

You need a firearms certificate issued by the police to possess, buy or acquire a firearm or shotgun. You must also have a certificate to buy ammunition.

Shotguns and rifles may be licensed by applying for a certificate through the local police force, according to the government's guide on gun-licensing law.

For firearms other than a shotgun, applicants must give police a "good reason" for wanting to own one. Hunting or being a member of a shooting club, for example, might be seen as good reasons. Self-defence won't be considered a valid reason.

The laws restrict handguns to "good reason" self defense is not a good reason

You can own shotguns and rifles (sporting rifles) after a process of obtaining a permit from the police.

Hence my statements about it being difficult and restricted.

Like many blue states in the US, the UK seeks to limit legal gun ownership to wealthy people only.

When I lived in California, where I held a concealed carry permit for 20+ years, the process to obtain the permit - between fees, required training (a joke), and time off work to keep permit appointments/background checks, etc., - cost about $800-$1,000 a year to exercise my civil right to self-defense.

This was intentional by the state to limit CCW permits to people with the means to do this every year.

It isn't, you might find it tricky because you have to use your brain. The good reason is, you go clay pigeon shooting (shotgun) or you're a gun shooting range member (firearm).

Just pay the fee and apply.

This is why Yanks would fail a UK gun application because their good reason is just to shoot others because of the self defence fallacy. The whole problem with guns is people getting shot, and your brain is in default mode to shoot others in the name of the self defence fallacy.

So you can only possess a firearm, and only of a limited type, IF the government not only decides that you want one, but that you deserve one, and you have no recourse if they decide that you fail to meet THEIR standards of need. That's means possession of a firearm is not a right, but a privilege, revocable at any time for any reason, or none at all. If you fail to see that is wrong, you are an indoctrinated idiot.

Another thick yank.

Why are you all so retarded with guns??
