Committees like this have been watching the left for decades. What have they done to silence us? Nothing. You just can't take it that the government is finally taking right wing extremism seriously. You wanted to be taken seriously didn't you? After 1/6 you don't get to go back to everyone laughing off all your civil war 2.0 talk.
Quit being such a drama queen. You move from one panic to another without a perceptible pause. Advisory committees are exactly what they sound like. A bunch of people with important sounding titles meeting four times a year to talk about whatever they were formed to talk about. They'll issue reports periodically no one will read or take seriously and you jerks will continue to talk violent insurrection as usual.
Everything the left has ever done from anti-war, anti-Wall Street to civil rights has earned some sort of response from the government. Usually it's way more than just a toothless committee. If nothing else I find it amusing how you people are panicking over something you had no problem with until it was your movement under the microscope.
Careful now, 'Big Brother' will throw you into the D.C. gulag and charge you with violating the laws of ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ aka the 'Ministry of Truth'.

Here is the DHS Mission Statement from their website. I don't see anything about monitoring what information goes to minority communities.
