I never said they are brainwashed. I said they are just trying to put food on the table. That's a far cry from brainwashed.

In other words, they are no different than we are.

In autocracies, technocracies, and dictatorships, the people at the top suck up all the resources of the country and leave nothing for the people, and so the only option to feed one's family is to join the military.

That was definitely the case in Hussein's Iraq.

I am a soldier of the cold war. I was speaking of the other wars of modern history. The Germans under the Kaiser, the Nazi's (though Hitler's rise coincided with poverty and hyperinflation from the crushing reparation debts imposed on post-WWI Germany, so they may have also been starving), the Japanese under the Emperor of Japan pre-WWII... etc.

You have proof. It's just not proof that people like Donald H will accept. You don't need to evangelize. I believe that Christianity - or any religion for that matter - should be like a billboard. Let them see the light shining from you. You don't need to verbalize it. You need to actualize it. I think the two most difficult things to do for humans are to be objective and accountable. They are difficult because of our selfish nature which is hard to overcome. But when we do, we tap into an immense power and our lives are enriched beyond measure. Peace, joy and happiness will follow.

I'm not evangelizing for atheism. It can't be said that atheism has any definite cause. I simply don't believe in a god, for lack of any evidence. My cause is to enlighten Christians to understand that it's all invented by humans. I won't get into the details with you because that's not your interest.. I'll wait to be asked.

So back to the three conditions you need to fulfill.

The forum isn't a decent influence for you or anyone else attempting to make a fresh start.
If your wife isn't a new wife since you bagan your fresh start, she won't fit in with the new and different you.
The Christian religion is based on lies and can be substituted for the wonders and freedom of the natural world. (remember that you definitely don't want to have to turn back)

Intelligent Christians are cursed by their ability to understand. Look at the pain Ding is experiencing and how he has to abuse others who seed doubt in his mind I'll tell you about how Meriweather handles her doubts too, if you ask..

1. We live in a world which can be unfair.
2. We should expect to make sacrifices.
3. Not all behaviors lead to equal outcomes.
4. Successful behaviors naturally lead to success.
5. Failed behaviors naturally lead to failure.
6. At any point in our lives we are the sum of our choices.

Could it be that you only have a flawed superficial understanding of Christianity because your only interest is in making fun of Christians?
