My grandpa used to teach us kids songs that my grandma called "colorful" ha ha. One of them went like this..

I had a girl and she was mine
painted her lips with iodine
on her nose I hung a sign
keep off the grass.. ten dollar fine.

Don't know how I remember this,but I do. In the 60's they put Archies records on the back of cereal boxes that you could cut out and play on your record players. I had two older cousins who collected all of them. When I was really little,when they would babysit (or I would spend the night over) they would let me play them as a treat (and believe me I was thrilled). This one was my favorite one. I even loaded it on my MP3 player because it brings back good memories.
