My city library is NOT closed for President's day. They did close for MLK day!!!

It certainly isn't credible. But then again, racism isn't a problem for you except for when it comes time to own it.

Him being a husband or general isnt relevant to my point that he was a racist slaver so why would I even mention it? If it's relevant to some point you want to make then feel free to explain what that point is. That I don't also mention Jeffery Epstein was a home owner when I talk about him being a predator is hardly interesting. At least to me. Maybe that's interesting to you for some strange reason but I can't really begin to guess what that reason is.

You're the one getting emotional that Washington being a slaver is more relevant to me than his role as husband.
It certainly isn't credible.

why? because you feel slighted or something?

If he issued the comment on information he received, and not personal beliefs, it's no problem,

:auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:

you're the one getting 'emotional'. Every time his name is mentioned, you scream RACIST/SLAVER.

because that is all you consider.

Because I don't take the word of a racist as credible. Again, you're free to. Racism doesn't seem to give you pause.

That's called a fact. Washington was a Slaver. You pretending that is all I consider is a strawman. What else should I consider and to what end? I'm willing to hear you make that argument but you're to pussy to make it.

what people did decades, or centuries, ago is unimportant these days.

Washington was a Slaver.
and a president, a general, a husband, and many other things.

it's sad you only see him as a slaver.
one that died over 200 years ago.

you have a sad life

If the slaver Washington is unimportant to you that's fine by me. White people moving on from venerating and idolizing that piece of white trash is, after all, the goal.
and a president, a general, a husband, and many other things.
Yep. A President and General of a Slave State. And a Plantation Owner. I'm not sure how those aspects are relevant to disproving that Washington was piece of trash racist who kept men and women and children enslaved for his own personal profit. :dunno: It's that part I'd like you to explain to me.

What's sad about recognizing a fact about Washington's character? He was a slaver. It's a fact. I have spent two or three posts now recognizing different aspects of his life and still you strawman as if they dispute this simple fact. You're the one having a hard time coming to terms with it. I've acknowledged Washington as a President and General of a Slave State and a husband. You have yet to acknowledge that he was indeed a racist. I find that sort of fragility funny.

earlier you claimed:
I was born in 81. I wasn't even alive and no one in my family was even in America when Kennedy was president

so why does Washington being a 'slaver' upset you so much?

you weren't alive then; your family had no stake in America for nearly 2 centuries after he took office.

Who said it upset me? You're the one making your argument about what you imagine my feelings to be. My argument is one based on facts. Washington fought for and was the leader of a Slave State and MLK championed equal rights at the cost of his life. Those are called facts.

That ain’t nothing. Here in Washington DC, the capitol city of Africa America, they removed the name of US president Woodrow Wilson from a high school and replaced it with the names of two black teachers.

Is it just me or the fact that I think BOTH George Washington and MLK were BOTH Great men in their own right is somehow putting the divisions that are the USA right now into some sort of perspective? Trump got 40% of the Black Male vote which is fantastic and while MLK was indeed possessed of his own foibles he still highlighted a great wrong that DemoKKKrats were pushing in those days. GW of course had a far larger impact on the US but let's face it; losing out on some things still happened, eg, no cricket to speak of. And that glorified Rounders you play instead?? Sigh; America may be GREAT AGAIN but still some important things missing.

So had the US stayed Brit it would have got rid of Slavery a lot sooner. Gotcha!! So now you're pro-Redcoat!!!

No one cares but a few race hustlers!! Dilligaf??

Presidents Day and Columbus Day seem similar. Fed offices and banks are closed only. Our garbage collection is running as usual, which seems appropriate for today.

Here, all government stuff is closed-library, town offices, no mail, no trash pickup (landfill is closed)-and banks are closed.

As it should be. Wilson was the worst president of the 20th century.

IF he was a racist, does that mean the information is wrong?

barely. and overshadowed his accomplishments with the fact he was a 'slaver'.

is that the only THING important to you? that 80 years before slavery was ended, he owned slaves?

you live a sad life
So you're implying that because slavery was legal at that time that means it was okay to engage in it and profit from it?

If you support racism, in any manifestation in this context, that does in fact make you a racist. And you had a fit once when you were referred to as such.
