Musk promises Economic "Hardship"

Trump exploded the size of government in his first term. Shame on you for believing this lie again!
"During his term, debt grew at a pace similar to that of his predecessors."

That includes the $$$$ for COVID.

We can only assume that those who voted for Trump are prepared for economic hardship, as the government and its services is deconstructed and removed before our eyes.

You do know that, right? This won't happen without pain. Especially since it appears this will all happen pretty quickly. Not gradually and carefully, but as quickly as possible.

Have you alerted your children, your family and your friends, and made preparations? Well, I'm sure you have.

And another question: Who exactly do you think will be suffering the most from this exciting transition? And who will be suffering the least?

The word "promise" only appears one time in that article and it isn't in musk "promising" hardships.

Wow! So timely! An article from October! The word changed with the election. Dismissed. Overcome by events.

For bureaucrats maybe. But nobody made it harder on the American people than Biden/Harris did.

Federal government....not all government.

At least be honest.

You do know that, right?

Know what ? That Biden ran a 2 trillion deficit this year...yes I do.

This won't happen without pain.
To who ?
Especially since it appears this will all happen pretty quickly. Not gradually and carefully, but as quickly as possible.
The deep state won't sit by and let itself be dsimantled. It has to happen quickly.

Have you alerted your children, your family and your friends, and made preparations?
For what ?

You have not given one concrete example of the pain I am about to suffer.
Well, I'm sure you have.
Do you get a kick out of being a sore loser ?
And another question: Who exactly do you think will be suffering the most from this exciting transition?
What ? You just told us we would. Now you are waffling.

Why didn't Trump replace Lead water lines poisioning our citizens lowering our IQ? Now he is concerned about Flouride? LOL!!! You believers are so stupid!

Ah, now we see.

Trumps faked his Jobs numbers.

Private sector jobs numbers from ADP proves Trump faked 5 million jobs since 2018.

A paid residential subscription costs $120 per month, a significant upcharge from a typical internet service, which could cost around $40 per month. So Musk's ...

Last week, Starlink posted a link on X to a website explaining its offer to those seeking Hurricane Helene relief. “For those impacted by Hurricane Helene, or looking to support response and recovery efforts in affected areas, Starlink is now free for 30 days,” the post read.

Musk reshared the post, adding, “Starlink terminals will now work automatically without need for payment in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene.”

A closer look at the website, though, shows that the offer comes with a few caveats.

“Please note: A Starlink kit is required to access this free service. If you do not already have a Starlink kit, you will need to purchase one,” the site explains.

So how much exactly does a Starlink kit cost? New customers will still have to pay close to $400 for a Starlink kit, including shipping and tax, according to Gizmodo. Starlink has also warned of significant delays that may prevent orders from arriving for weeks, and encouraged those seeking its services to buy a kit from retailers such as Best Buy or Home Depot. There, the kit will cost more like $350 not including tax.

But that’s not all users will have to pay. “After 30 days, we will move you to a paid Residential subscription,” the SpaceX site reads. A paid residential subscription costs $120 per month, a significant upcharge from a typical internet service, which could cost around $40 per month.

Musk is a grifter, just like Trump.
You are of the Village. 5000 years ago. You will use the technologies developed though, and what is more important improved upon massively and done to the point of the prices lowering from its expensive beginning. I do understand the grifting though. Boeing is a fine example of many.

1) The government could be cut by a third just by eliminating redundancy and waste.

2) He said “temporary hardship” in order to achieve “long-term prosperity.” That’s what responsible people do.
Israel gets $3.8 billion annually. That's a waste

"During his term, debt grew at a pace similar to that of his predecessors."

Biden's current deficit is approaching Trump's COVID spending.

All in a "booming" economy.

I am starting to think "booming" means it just blew up.

And then let the states decide on the curriculum, and drop all the social warrior justice crap. If California wants its students to be able to compete with kids from Florida for college slots, they’ll focus on basic academics instead of the CRT-influenced stuff.
Newsflash: These were not federal programs. They were implemented at the blue state and local blue district levels. The feds had nothing to do with them. I have no problem cutting the department, but at least do it for the right reasons and not exaggerations and lies.

As to your second point, that is what is happening now.

When things start failing apart and the chaos begins look for trump to escape blame while he further consolidates power.

Don't worry, you'll be in the internment camp and all your needs will be taken care of.

Sure they will. We can do that simply by cutting redundant jobs. The cost of the federal workforce is $270 billion (salary and benefits), so reducing the headcount by 20% (and requiring the remaining workforce to out in full days like in the private industry) saves more than $50 billion right there.

Then consider the overall government expenditures: $7 trillion. If we can cut even 1% of the wasteful spending, that’s another $70 billion.

The real question is can they get to $1T? They’d have to cut more than 10%, and that would be a stretch. But at least we’d be heading in the right direction.
With all due respect Lisa, your concept of large numbers suck. To get the budget down by$1 trillion you have to cut 10%? You think the federal budget is $10 trillion? Try again. It's nowhere near that high. The budget deficit for this year is several trillions. The budget is less than $10 trillion at about $6.5 trillion. Cutting the budget only reduces the deficit. The national debt will always increase if you have a budget deficit. Most people just don't get that, including most members of Congress.

Israel gets $3.8 billion annually. That's a waste
You have no concept of numbers do you? A Ford-class aircraft carrier costs $13 billion. My old school district in Florida (one county) had an annual budget of $1.36 billion dollars. That means one county in Florida spent almost one-third as much as the federal government gave to Israel. How much did the federal government spend on education? That puts it into a lot better perspective of how small that sum really is.
