Musk Feedback on Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill"

So somehow, they need to both make an agreement to balance the budget. And it is not easy. Over the decades, Progs have had their way. The size of government in all levels proves it. The federal level is providing a slave to the rest of the nation with its deficits. City and state governments for the most part balance their budgets although some parts of their bureaucracies are underfunded. We see what the Repulican side is doing. The Prog side tells us that taxing the rich and corporate interests will balance the budget. Two trillion dollars a year worth to cover the deficit would be needed. And that is if they do not add any more social money and if the consumer is not affected by those tax increases.

When the voters of both sides realize that those they support are wrong, and start holding them accountable, instead of blaming the other side..... Then something might get fixed. But as long as both sides ignore the flaws of their own side, nothing is going to change.

Fact: Republicans have spent more money and increased the debt ceiling more than the democrats have.
And they're guilty of increasing the size and scope of government.

That's a hard truth that the republican voters simply refuse to accept.

On the other hand, the voters on the left need to realize that all the wasteful spending that democrats shove into bills, takes away from those who really need it. And that there's a LOT of things that the government simply shouldn't be funding. Able bodied welfare sponges, for example.

I agree with your statement. Having said that, it is human nature to do that, meaning that among all those liars, we need to chose the ones that lie the least and to more good than bad.

Nice picture - but that is simply not reality. At all. Even a little.
Partisan choosing, which is what you do, - IS - what is causing the 'wall to stay destroyed, and further collapsing" - no one is fixing anything now - NO ONE. EITHER PARTY.
This is not a Democrat - Republican thing. Americans desperately need to stop thinking this way - WHICH IS WHY - they keep doing it.

Corporatism is our enemy. And it has thoroughly corrupted - BOTH - sides equally. Neither is better than the other when it comes to what is truly killing the American middle class.

Just like how you glazed right over Blackrock and Obama/Biden admin. I knew you would. And you are about to do it again.

Clinton and the GOP came close so it can't be that difficult unless you are simply trying to make excuses.

7.8 trillion under Trump the last time and the way he is going he will far exceed that this time.

Funny how most GOP voters still think the Republicans are the party of fiscal conservatism. In the last 8 years, Trump spent almost $8 trillion in new money. While Biden spent $6 trillion in new money. That's about $2 trillion less.

Us FC's say that's $14 trillion too much. Loyalist on both sides say, "It's fine."

Political loyalty is the real enemy. As well as "Lesser of two evils" voting. All day, every day, on political forums like this, there's 3 sides. Left & right. And then there's fiscal conservatives, who make up a very small minority.
The left and the right spend all day with their "whataboutism's." Blaming the other for things even their own party is guilty of.

Exactly - on this board, there may be 20 of us.

Coincidentally, there's only about 20 FC's in congress. The rest are Trump supporting RINO's and democrats.
And even a few of the FC's are starting to cave to the Trump Cancel culture. I notice Chip Roy voted for the last CR and this latest reconciliation bill. I also noticed just before he voted for it, he was getting hammered on his social media pages by Trump supporters pledging to vote for someone else in the next mid term, if he didn't back Trumps BBB.

I had some hope in Massie but it seems he caved.

Unlike the stupid shit Democrats, Trump will spend money to MAKE MONEY. Watch and learn you Washington hacks.

I am a realist and I understand human nature and that is exactly why I am 100% against Trump. This statement is not about defending the Democrats, given that they also have done many bad things that they should be criticized for.

Having said that, the extremes are what is the worst that can happen and not only is Trump and extremist, but the Republican party is now under control of the extreme Right, as well.

Trump is doing exactly what needs to be done to make it an extreme bad. He is getting rid of the parts of government that have to do with restricting bad actions. When you do that, you open the door for extreme bad to occur. In addition, he is giving more power and money to the extreme right so that the changes can become permanent or at least damaging to the point where solutions are close to impossible or totally impossible.

The left is not at the extreme. To begin with, people like Sanders and Warren (the extreme left of the Democrats) are not in control. Biden, during his entire career, has been a Centrist, meaning not the extreme. The same goes for Harris.

They are a problem (for different reasons) but not to the extreme. They are what is "normal bad" in the political arena. As such, their actions do not do as much harm as Trump's (for example).

At this point, when you compare problems created, it is easy to compare as the extreme is what you want to get rid of. Once you do that, the comparing who is least worst (or best) between the parties can be done.

Right now, Trump is clearly the absolute worst and that problem has (not just needs) to be solved before any talk about what party and what representative (the president) is better or worse for the nation.

Wars are usually started by other nations (not by us) and therefore your statistic has a flaw, given that you need to prove that under the Democrats, it was they that caused the wars that killed more people.

Having said, here is another negative fact against the Republicans.

95% of Washington is Democrats, Who do you think they are gonna indict?

If Trump says it's OK, then to the Trump supporters, it's OK.

Increased spending.... OK
Funding Ukraine.....Ok
Increased debt ceiling......OK
Keeping Russia's oil ban in place......OK
Higher tariffs/taxes......Ok
Endorsing Mike Johnson for speaker......OK

They don't even care.
I care. But its still 10 times better than Harris and the Democrats running things.

Holy hell - "I agree, but I am 100% against Trump!!"

The irony is so complete, and you are so blind with hate and bias you can't even see how absurd your post is.

Wow

^^^^ The problem. "whataboutism" isn't holding your party accountable. In fact, it's letting them slide for making the bad decisions. IE increasing spending.

Don't mistake better for good.

On the "Big, Beautiful Bill"

In Washington, federal workers say that DOGE has left the government's operations in disarray. And worst of all, it might have all been for nothing. Musk claims to have saved the government $175 billion so far (nowhere close to his original target of $2 trillion, or even his revised target of $1 trillion).

And that was before the president's new spending bill passed the House. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the president's proposed budget will add $3.8 trillion to our debt over the next ten years. It's now being debated in the Senate.

Musk said, "I was, like, disappointed to see the massive spending bill, frankly, which increases the budget deficit, doesn't decrease it, and undermines the work that the DOGE team is doing."

I said, "I actually thought that, when this 'big, beautiful bill' came along, it'd be like, everything he's done on DOGE gets wiped out in the first year."

Wow, Trump saying one thing (to get people's votes) but doing the opposite? Is that what the Republicans support?
Lol. So now you like Musk?

You are totally blind.

I agree that both parties are doing bad things, but Trump and the Republicans are doing worse. I do hate Trump but for valid reasons. He is an immoral, unethical, unprincipled and inhumane person, and I am against those 100%

No they most certainly are not.
And - ANYONE - who thinks Trump is anymore corrupt than the Biden family??? Really???
Again - that takes committed self delusion.

I do believe that Trump is more corrupt. Here is one example of his corruption

Trump taps loyalists with few qualifications for top jobs

When you put loyalty over qualifications-for-the-job, it is as corrupt as it gets. You are not looking for the best for the job (and the nation), but the best for yourself (the nation be screwed). How can a president be more corrupt than that?

As far as Biden vs Trump personally.

Here is another fact:

Trump to Become First Convicted Felon to Serve as President

AI Overview

According to reports from February 2024, Joe Biden has not been convicted of any crimes in a court of law.

All of the above are facts (no opinion involved). When you can PROVE your case legally (not through opinion), I will listen.

Until then, you have not proven your point.

Dude - I have proven my point completely.
To you? Not a chance you will see it. So of course you don't think so, you are among the sheep. And sheep will run off a cliff to follow the pack.
