So somehow, they need to both make an agreement to balance the budget. And it is not easy. Over the decades, Progs have had their way. The size of government in all levels proves it. The federal level is providing a slave to the rest of the nation with its deficits. City and state governments for the most part balance their budgets although some parts of their bureaucracies are underfunded. We see what the Repulican side is doing. The Prog side tells us that taxing the rich and corporate interests will balance the budget. Two trillion dollars a year worth to cover the deficit would be needed. And that is if they do not add any more social money and if the consumer is not affected by those tax increases.
When the voters of both sides realize that those they support are wrong, and start holding them accountable, instead of blaming the other side..... Then something might get fixed. But as long as both sides ignore the flaws of their own side, nothing is going to change.
Fact: Republicans have spent more money and increased the debt ceiling more than the democrats have.
And they're guilty of increasing the size and scope of government.
That's a hard truth that the republican voters simply refuse to accept.
On the other hand, the voters on the left need to realize that all the wasteful spending that democrats shove into bills, takes away from those who really need it. And that there's a LOT of things that the government simply shouldn't be funding. Able bodied welfare sponges, for example.
