The rag New York Post rips into the former President. Besides Trump, the editorial board seems to be tired of the whole debacle. Who isn't?
Not only is the board blaming (mostly) Trump, they rail against Democrats and Republicans alike.
"But rather than ignore it or look to the future, Donald Trump, the King Lear of Mar-a-Lago, decided to tweet â er, Truth â yet another statement confirming that he refuses to accept reality. âJanuary 6th was not simply a protest,â he wrote, âit represented the greatest movement in the history of our Country to Make America Great Again.â
"It wasnât, of course. It was a national shame. One that neither Democrats nor Trump can stop obsessing over. Itâs time for Republicans to move on."
"But Trump has become a prisoner of his own ego. He canât admit his tweeting and narcissism turned off millions. He wonât stop insisting that 2020 was âstolenâ even though heâs offered no proof that itâs true."
"The motivations of the Democrats are purely political, but that doesnât make the events of January 6 right. The best argument Trumpâs people can cling to is that the Capitol building wasnât properly secured. The committee would look far less partisan by scrutinizing these claims. But whatâs the logic? You knew Trump was going to incite a mob, so you should have brought in more troops? Trump himself doesnât deny that he wished the rioters had succeeded in overturning the election."
Pretty scathing editorial but not far from the truth.

Donald Trump, Democrats are obsessed with 2020 â GOP should look to the future
The January 6 Commission is a Democratic campaign ad, a thinly veiled partisan exercise â aired in primetime â to bolster a failed Joe Biden presidency.
