Robert Mueller has agreed Tuesday to testify before the House Judiciary Committee and House Intelligence Committee in an open session.

The special counsel is set to appear on Wednesday, July 17, according to Reps. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) and Adam Schiff (D-Calif.).

The agreement came after the committees issued a subpoena to bring Mueller in to testify about his report detailing Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential elections and potential incidents in which Donald Trump obstructed justice.

But it is always better to have more information in the pubic domain than less. So the testimony can only be positive.

My biggest question was if he was pressured to end his investigation. The report stated that they wanted to ask follow-up questions but Trump dodged them (like any criminal would). So it’s either he ended his investigation out of frustration or was told to end his investigation.

I’m almost 99.9999% sure he won’t answer definitively. So I’m in the “wake me when it’s over” camp.
