MTG says she quits.

I got to say, I never really liked her even though she gave voice to a lot of my concerns politically as she was kind of the Jerry Springer of conservatism.

I even agree with a lot of the complaints about the Swamp on both sides of the political isle. However, someone who has voiced that she thinks 9/11 was an inside job, and that the shooter in Las Vegas was staged by democrats who wanted to ban guns, without any evidence, is just a canker sore in the mouth of conservatives because if she is right, she wins a cookie. But all it did was make conservatives look like a bunch of AOC's on acid. And someone who tries to side with Democrats so endlessly subsidize a health care system that is unaffordable simply does not have a place in the GOP.

Simply put, she is not that bright and has no class, although I think it finally came to the realization of the latter by trying to tone down her rhetoric that often-sounded bat sh$t crazy. To her credit, she also was smart enough to know that after she had riled up Trump, he was going to squash her like a tin can politically.

Is she smart enough to know that she has no political path to run for President in 2028? That remains to be seen but I would not hold my breath if I were you.
Whatever Margie said that was controversial surely hails in comparison to the insane rhetoric of the mainstream left. Not just AOC, but the mainstream Democrats who believe white people are privileged, that we should destroy statues of Christopher Columbus but not historical statues of blacks or Jews who engaged in controversy…let’s compare MTG to the mainstream left who do not believe in a meritocracy, but things like DEI.

And then you have neo con republicans …. They are not America first but they are all about foreign interests first.

I certainly did not agree with all of MTG‘s political discourse. Then again who in their right mind would worship a politician. Maybe some Trump supporters? Maybe some pro BM Democrats? Not me and not most Americans.

W/e faults MTG had, she was based and its a gut punch to see her go….

Not sure what she is thinking here. Seems to me she would want to stay and continue to fight for what she believes in (as wrong as it often is) but I guess not.

It's interesting that she decided to quit rather than stay. No doubt she doesn't need constant pressure from Johnson, constant personal insults from the buffoon, or constant death threats from The Following, and that's all understandable.

Her next steps will be pretty interesting. Talk about knowing where the bodies are buried, she's been on the inside all along. But when you turn on a Mafia family, you need to be careful as hell. Never sit with your back to the door.

Get too close to the orange orbit, and you're stained. We'll see if she can change that rule.

It's the threats and stalking of her business....that likely made her quit....her employees could be endangered....imo.

She is certainly not wrong

In a lengthy statement posted to X, Greene cited her growing disillusionment with Washington politics, blasting what she called a corrupt "Political Industrial Complex" that she said uses Americans as "pawns in an endless game of division."
She saw first hand how phony and destructive this all is. She went in thinking she could help change things and learned that it's just Kabuki Theater for the powerful.

I won't go so far as to hope this will begin to open eyes about how desperately we need to fix our political/electoral "system", but it's at least nice to see.

She believes in more money., she is going where she will make the most money.

MTG has a million dollar deal, watch and see.

She cant win another election, nobody is supporting her, nobody is giving her money for reelection

She was drifting into Viva Juan McCain territory ( with a little Adam Kinzinger sprinkled in for good measure ) , so sad when they think DC revolves around them instead of MAGA .

It appears to me that Trump's grip is so strong that even a stalwart like Greene feels it is better to resign than risk getting primaried by someone Trump endorses.

And they say it's not a cult.
whats your cult danny?...

MTG was one of the very few principled members of Congress who held Trump's feet to the fire over the Epstein list. She was one of the few who opposed the BS and unjust lockdowns and vax mandates. I won't forget how she spoke out against the Covid lockdowns and how that earned my respect. I don't know everything about her, but I think she was doing the right thing the past few months.
Greene engaged in reckless, irresponsible conspiracy theories, dangerous anti-vax lies, Jewish space lasers – she rarely, if ever, did the ‘right thing.’

15th post
I imagine that being the enemy in your own party would be a tad stressful along with going head-to-head against the President of the United States - a man you support on 99% of the things he does.

MAGA pushed her out.
Yet Massey seems to be doing fine.

My guess is she was threatened. Maybe with assassination. Or her family threatened.

Or she was blackmailed.

She was outspoken and fearless and then folds by resigning mid-term. WTF!

Only plausible reason is blackmail or life threatening.

She spoke like most Progressive politicians. Her statements were not refined and articulate. Like most Progressive politicians. She was taken to task for it. What bothers me is that she and those involved in the House a couple of years ago to get a better Speaker are now leaving. That is mighty interesting.
