There was outrage as the assumption was made that she meant the pope's death was a defeat of evil. I really thought she would say that she didn't mean the pope, or she would have said so, and talk about who she did mean, after expressing her admiration for the late pope.

Ok, she didn't sound like a liberal in the last few pages.

She did sound sincere in her reasons to harshly criticize the leadership of the Catholic church.

Your thoughts?

I'm sure you can handle that. THe left has said much worse.
Me?

I agree with her completely, except that I'm not sure I'd paint all Bishops with that brush.

Of course, I was not almost pursuaded to allow my children to be put in the hands of Catholic Clergy. If I had, I would likely agree with that every one of them is responsible approach.

Well to be fair that's one Pope that just wouldn't shut his mouth about anything. He had no problem condemning anything and everything done by Trump regardless of what it was. Popes have no business in international politics.... Church needs serious internal attention free from the dirt of political world. By becoming a politician he betrayed his robes and abandoned the spiritual needs of his flock. That is why my favorite name for him was: Francis the talking Pope.

Pay her no mind. This is the chick that was fcking two guys at the gym she worked at while married and had a family, then ran for office, won, and got divorced. She's pure white trash in Washington.

Looks like she would have agreed with most of the Pope's ideas on American bishops.

MTG is entitled to her opinion about the dead pope

And I agree with her

Really?

Under Pope Francis, what happened to American bishops and cardinals who covered up sexual abuse? Since he agreed with MTG, were they quickly forced out of the church and excommunicated?

An American cardinal who was accused of covering up cases of sexual abuse by priests and was later stripped of some duties, is set to play an official role in the ceremonies surrounding Pope Francis’ funeral.

Cardinal Roger M. Mahony, the former archbishop of Los Angeles, will participate in the closing of the pope’s casket at St. Peter’s Basilica on Friday evening and in his burial at the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore on Saturday, according to Vatican announcements.

Cardinal Mahony, 89, was the archbishop of Los Angeles from 1985 until his retirement from the Roman Catholic Church in 2011. In 2013, internal church personnel files released as part of a civil case revealed that Cardinal Mahony had played a role in covering up cases of sexual abuse by priests.

Let me know when she gets caught with her hand down the pants of a young boy at her church.

No surprise as MTG is just a pig.
