Lol, the general welfare clause? The term "general welfare" doesnt mean providing Healthcare. Enumerated powers. Thats what they can do. Your assertion that general welfare is the permission slip would mean the government could do nearly anything they want. If that was the case, then why have the enumerated powers?

Nope, again, read the cotus. It doesnt work like that. Congress is only supposed to be voting on issues related to the delegated powers that the cotus gives to the government. If the general welfare clause gave the federal government total power, there would have been a need for the 10th amendment.
