"Move-On.org and Hillary campaign lying to get NBC to remove an Ad"

Read the email to which you linked in your OP. Hillary Clinton's campaign has nothing to do with it. How does one know this?
  1. Hillary Clinton wasn't running for elected office in 2010, the date of the email message!!!
  2. Nobody in the Clinton campaign is mentioned in the email nor is anyone there found in the "from" or "to" of the email
Does it occur to you that John Podesta may merely be a member of the "big campaign" Google group.

Subject: [big campaign] MoveOn protests 60 plus attack ads

Hey folks,
60 plus is up with attack ads in over a dozen districts and our members with HCANs are calling local stations to ask them to take the ads down.

We'll also be staging protests at stations in the next few days. It's bad enough to have to contend with endless corporate money trying to buy these races, but now Pharma thinks they can flat out lie to voters with no consequences. We'll be holding protests at a bunch of these stations in the coming days. Let me know if you have questions,

Here's our e-mail on the subject:

Dear MoveOn member,
60 Plus—a conservative political group backed by the pharmaceutical industry [See source 1] — is running ads attacking Harry Mitchel for his support of health care reform.

It's bad enough that voters are barraged this election season with a flood of corporate-backed ads aimed at buying elections for Republicans. But here's the thing.*These ads aren't even true.*

FactCheck.org says the ads are riddled with falsehoods. [See source 2] While the ads claim that health reform cuts $500 million from Medicare, that's just not true. The new health care law does limit future growth in Medicare spending but none of these savings come from cutting benefits—now or in the future. [See source 3] Worse, some versions of the ad flat out lie and say that seniors may lose access to their doctors. Not the case either.

It's no wonder that the respected and nonpartisan FactCheck.org says that the ads "make statements that can't be backed up, lack important context or are wrong." But voters may not know they're being lied to.

NBC shouldn't be airing ads that have been demonstrated to be false.

*Can you call NBC affiliate KPNX right now and ask them to take down these misleading ads?*
Call: KPNX (602) 257-6613

Ask them to stop airing this misleading ad. Be sure to say that you are a viewer. Then say something like this:

*My name is _____. I'm a KPNX viewer. I'm calling to ask the station to stop airing ads sponsored by the group 60 Plus that are running in the area.*

*FactCheck.org says the ads make statements that can't be backed up and are wrong. These ads clearly don't meet NBC's advertising standards.*

*Will you take them off the air?*

*Then click here to report your call.*
