More than two-thirds of U.S. Rep. Tom Barrett’s constituents present during a telephone town hall said they don’t approve of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

Barrett ran surveys between taking questions during his first telephone town hall Monday evening. 70% of the participants indicated they do not support the department’s mission, which was presented as being "to streamline the federal government and reduce spending."

The first-term member of Congress defended the department earlier in the call.

"It seems like every single person prefaces a lot of their, even disagreement, by saying, ā€˜Hey, I know there's a lot of waste and fraud in federal spending, and we’ve got to rein that in, but this is wrong for this or that reason,ā€™ā€ Barrett said. ā€œSo, it seems like we've kind of accepted the premise that there's a lot of problems.ā€

How do we know there was a survey?

How do we know who they asked, who determined who would be called

How do we know what questions were asked and which choice of an answer was accepted

How come we are always told what to believe instead of being able to make our own determinations based on facts

This isn't an option, it's DOGE or an insolvent country. Your tariffs will help pay down some of yoir debt but it won't be enough on its own when you are running $2T a year in the red.

One thing you have to admire about today's TDS left is their ability to organize a protest at the drop of a hat. The media was so quick to tally up the calls that I suspect that this was a setup.
