Asheville is a heavily Democratic enclave in western North Carolina and I'm guessing that's who these people are. That's not to say that some of the Trump administration's actions haven't rankled some supporters, but I doubt many of these disgruntled people are Republican voters. I'd take this with a grain of salt.

Blame governments before who overspent. You are still overspending but at least tariffs will bring in some revenue coupled with more domestic jobs for a high tax base, cost cutting for the future and growth from domestic investment.

It's the only solution. A libertarian prescribed solution domestically that balances the need to ensure foreign trade abusers and government palm greasers pay their fair share.

Americans are addicted to spending and instant gratification. They have abused credit for so long that it will be a long, painful recovery if it happens at all. Fiscal responsibility, education and discipline have to be the "words of the day" for a long time.
