Since the EMS services had more than 6,000 calls in the last 24 hours, how can this news be anything but a massive multiplier in the epicenter of NYC which is, after all, the most densely populated area of the country, not to mention the financial capital of America and the world?

Meanwhile, Trump dithers and talks about lifting travel restrictions that are specifically meant to prevent further transfer of Covid-19.

At least 206 members of the Fire Department of New York have tested positive for Covid-19, FDNY spokesperson Jim Long tells CNN.
That’s up from 131 yesterday. That includes firefighters, emergency medical service workers and civilian employees.
EMS services have had 6,043 calls in the last 24 hours.

Carlson criticized New York City health commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot, among others, who dismissed the incoming threat of the coronavirus in February.

"The risk to New Yorkers from coronavirus is low and ... our preparedness as a city is very high," Barbot said at a Feb. 2 press conference supporting the Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade and Festival. "There is no reason not to take the subway, not to take a bus, not to go out to your favorite restaurant and certainly not to miss the parade next Sunday [Feb. 9]."

"Future generations are gonna watch that video with their jaws open in disbelief," Carlson said in response to Barbot. "How could someone charged with protecting public health so recklessly endanger it?"

That's bloody horrible. Hopefully, they are all young and strong enough to get through there diagnosis. Regardless, this is the dilemma all locales are facing. We all need critical service.

Those who suggested others to go ahead and enjoy the festivities for Chinas New Year, even though they didn't intend harm, have in fact, most certainly contributed. For what? To try and paint Trump as a racist and garner some anger against him?

Not a prudent approach when lives are concerned. At the very least, they should have understood that the federal government, especially the Commander in Chief, is going to have better data and intel than anyone at the state level.

There's people on both sides of the political divide who like to go back weeks and even months to point fingers and lay blame in an effort to make the argument that what is now happening is someone else's fault. What's important in the days and weeks to come is what we (the collective WE) do from this day forward.

You can't depend on just those who get paid. Many of them will leave Dodge when it gets bad enough. New heroes will arise and former bullies will sink. We all must be strong against this covington 19 virus. We must be adults and not babies needing boxes of baby food. Crying for a loss is right. Crying for yourself if you destroyed others brings no remorse from them if no offer of regret is giving. So let move on and accept our losses and if its minimal get back up to speed and if it is terrible ....rebuild....

You’re right, the liberal media are being hacks, but what about the people of the right trying to marginalize the virus because they feel it’s politically inconvenient are also being hacks. This is serious. The time for politics is over.

Also NYPD beginning to call in sick in droves.
DiBlasio should have taken their backs instead of treating them like a red-headed stepchild.
Oh well, you reap what you sow.

The people who are responding and putting their life on the line are heros in my book.
