More than 121, 000 Southern Refugees Arrived Sudan

The number of refugees who arrived in Sudan from the State of South Sudan has reached 121, 852 people as of March 5, 2015, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), after the fighting erupted in the State December 2013.
UN High Commission for Humanitarian Affairs said more than 78,000 of those people have received humanitarian aid.
The World Food Programme said it urgently needs US$55 million to meet the needs of all the refugees from South Sudan in Sudan, Kenya and Uganda for the next six months.
According to the UNHCR, about 18,000 refugees from South Sudan have arrived in West Kordofan State since December 2013, while the majority of refugees continued their move to other areas of Sudan.
Relief organisations have provided them with food, household supplies, and assistance in the field of water, and sanitation.
