It was major manufacturing leaving the big cities that destroyed urban areas. Auto, Steel, consumer goods, light manufacturing all abandoned the cities leaving no jobs to raise a family on.

Of course it did. Not everybody worked for major manufacturing. I myself have worked for small business all of my life.

As time went on and when Democrats had power, they kept upping the ante for people that didn't want to work. Look at Dementia and the Democrats. Largest increase in food stamps since the program began during a labor shortage. Increased the child tax credit allowing women to stay home if they have kids. The government is now paying for internet and cable for people that make under X amount of money. They gave them extra money for being on unemployment to the point people did better on unemployment than working.

When I was growing up we didn't have Section 8 people in our suburb. That's because section 8 only paid enough for people to get housing in lower income areas. Today they are living comfortably in our suburbs and ruining them at the same time. It was all Democrat policies that did this, and now they want to put that on steroids as well.

Three Rensselaer County officials with close ties to the ruling Republican Party were indicted last week on federal charges as part of an investigation into ballot fraud. Now, the current and former mayors of the city of Rensselaer are weighing in.

Three Rensselaer County officials with close ties to the ruling Republican Party were indicted last week on federal charges as part of an investigation into ballot fraud. Now, the current and former mayors of the city of Rensselaer are weighing in.

According to the U.S. Attorney, Richard Crist, James Gordon, and Leslie Wallace were arrested and charged Thursday with conspiring to violate the rights of county voters during the 2021 election cycle.

The alleged ballot scheme in Troy appears to have taken advantage of looser absentee ballot requirements that were in place during the pandemic.

Crist is the Director of Operations for Rensselaer County, Gordon is the Director of the Bureau for Central Services of the county, and Wallace works for the county executive.
