Why do Democrats insist that the American tax payer pay for an individual's choice to have an abortion and bail out failed / mis-managed Union Pensions?

I guess after crapping on oil / fossil fuel industry union workers, putting tens of thousands of them out of a job, Democrats had to appease the Unions and give them something to keep their loyalty....

Riddle me this: In the decades since Union = Mob ties/corruption/crooked politicians which major bills have been passed in Congress that cleans Unions up? Which bills passed by Republicans, when they had complete control of government in the 2000s and 2016-2018 regulated donations, or bi-laws, or associations, etc.?
