It did not, it could not. No cult/religion has remained frozen in time, they all change with the times, they all evolve.
Many things which were done in the OT, were changed, just as many things from other cults have changed as well, only you have no education, interest or knowledge to know any of this.

If Jews today behaved the way Abraham, and David and Solomon did, the Muslims in the Land of Israel would not have been an issue anymore.
