I didn't need the election of Trump to realize half this country is full of deplorable mutant racists or the loss of Hillary to tell me working class people are fed up with the status quo, the rising cost of living and the inability of wages to keep up with it.

She was trying to point out that there was genuine angst in the working-class whites who supported Trump. Where she got it wrong was saying "Half" of them were "deplorables".
The biggest mistake the GOP has made in recent years was losing touch with working-class whites and their concerns. I think Bill Clinton kind of got it. Everyone else, including his wife, have been tone deaf.

A large part of the "Homeless" problem is because liberal do-gooders shut down the mental hospitals and tore down the "Skid Rows". They also tore down the housing projects in favor of just giving them a voucher and letting them move out to the burbs. We've seen how well that worked out.
If you're not going to care about people don't expect them to care about your society. Seems obvious enough to me. Calling people dregs is self perpetuating.
These people need to care about themselves first. If you are having five kids by three different fathers and expecting the government to pay for it all, you aren't engaging in self-care. That's the problem with the modern welfare state: it penalizes the good behavior (working hard, playing by the rules) with taxes and subsidizes the bad behavior with government benefits.

Nurses in Florida can make up to 96K a year, according to Salary.com. If you can't make it on 96K a year, shame on you.
