The Mongolian death worm was a terrifying creature alleged to exist in the Gobi Desert. Its also known as the Olgoi-Khorkhoi, which means to "intestine worm". This because the worm is a blood red color and overall resembles the large intestine. It was described by many as being between two and seven feet long, capable of spitting out corrosive yellow saliva and generating an electric discharge.

Legend says that when the creature begins to attack, it will raises half its body out of the sand and starts to inflate until it explodes. Then releasing the deadly venom all over the victim. It was believed that touching any part of the worm will cause almost instant death and tremendous pain. The creature was thought to live mostly underground, hibernating most of the year except for June and July. Some say it will only come out when the ground surface is wet.
