Imo he's a shit, but McConnell was up front about the fact that he supported Trump even knowing Trump would not make any effort at entitlement reform. McConnell was more interested in pro-corporate Justices and supply side tax cuts.

So, the admin wanted to keep the gummit open for two years to avoid shutdown, and the gop wanted to increase military funding. The dems trade off was to match domestic spending increases dollar for dollar with defense.

It is what it is. Each year that goes by without entitlement reform will just make the eventual debt collapse worse.

It's not rocket science. Any entilement reform will piss off everyone because not only will future benefits be reduced, but also there will be cuts to sacred gop programs and even …… added taxes. So the potus has to be in, and so do the congressional leaders of both parties. McConnell just said he's not in because Trump's not in, so Pelosi has no reason to bring her caucus misery if the gop isn't into sharing.

In 8 years, President Bush added $4 trillion in new Deficit. For the 1st 6 years he had a GOP Congress controlling Spending. In his 1st 6 years he only added $2.5 Trillion in new debt, AND THAT WAS INCLUDING THE COST OF 9/11/01, THE ECONOMIC AFTERMATH, AND 2 WARS.

In his last 2 years DEMOCRATS held a near-super majority control of Congress, to include the HOUSE, which - as we have already established - controls the spending/ budget. During that last 2 years. $1.5 Trillion in new debt was added.

Let's put that in perspective:
GOP - 6 years: $2.5 Trillion
DNC - 2 years: $1.5 trillion

In 1/3rd the time - 2 years, Democrats added more than half of what the GOP did in 6 years.

This also means the ECONOMY Barry and snowflakes have continued to falsely claim he inherited from BUSH was really inherited from his own DEMOCRATS!
