MIT Scientist Debunks Global Warming Hysteria

Not every hour, idiot.

So what is the amount of Burlington solar?

Solar Integration: Solar Energy and Storage Basics

Storage helps solar contribute to the electricity supply even when the sun isn’t shining by releasing the energy when it's needed.

SO, let's do the math that our resident lib refuses to do...

The range is $0.082 to $0.171. I will use the average $0.127 per Kw usage.

The average bill will be 455.00 a month for a home using 3,000Kwh per day. This is for a home using natural gas for their primary heat source.

For the average home using all electric, the bill would be 1,189.00 a month (6,000kwh+).
This includes distribution costs.

source: Burlington Hydro - Residential Rates

This means the base system for a home that is all electric must provide 12,000 watts during daylight hours. 6,000 watts to operate the home and 6,000 watts to charge the storage bank. The number of batteries is three times that of a 3,000-watt system simply due to the load at night when colder temps occur in winter.

A 12,000-watt system is around $96,000.00 installed. Average yearly cost on batteries is 4,000.00 to replace failed batteries and other system components.

Just looking at 4,000 to keep the system running each year and then paying off nearly 100,000.00 at between 455.00 and 1,189,00 a month. It will take nearly 17-30 years to pay off the system at current power pricing.

This is what you idiots call FREE?

At 60 degrees Latitude, in winter.... shit would be a step up.

At his Latitude, in winter, they would need roughly 24,000 watts of panels to get just the base line to operate the system and not yet enough power to charge the batteries.
More made up shit. Read post #851

The sun gives Burlington exactly zero electricity when it's on the other side of the damn planet.

And ^ this link from post #851 doesn't mention Burlington. DURR
