It's about time.

"JEFFERSON CITY - Two bills surrounding transgender rights passed in the Missouri Senate Thursday morning. Both bills now go to the House for final approval.

Senate bill 49, sponsored by Sen. Mike Moon (R-Ash Grove) bans gender-affirming therapies and surgeries for minors. SB 39, sponsored by Sen. Holly Thompson Rehder (R-Scott City) makes it a requirement for transgender athletes to play on the sports team that matches the sex on their birth certificate."

I thought science mattered? Whatever happened to the science?

Before we can have a bill, science first demands an explanation to:
  1. What Transgenderism is.
  2. How transgenderism, exists in nature.
  3. What proof of transgenderism exists.
  4. Where transgenderism was ten years ago?
  5. How one medically, psychologically and anatomically defines a "transgender."
  6. How one medically differentiates transgenderism from any myriad of mental disorders.

In absolute terms beyond just someone claiming they are a girl or are tired of being a boy!

The balance slowly shifts. It had to happen.

For each individual, no science can correctly extrapolate the outcome and sequelae involved when one betrays their biological fate by physically mutilating what they always already had. This includes physical health because their mental health can influence it.

Birth certificate gender will reveal betrayals.

Birth certificates are racist.

I LOVE the common sense conservative political ambitions in MO, my native state. Go, Senator Josh Hawley. I see you as presidential material down the road. :udaman:

"Doctors" performing transitioning procedures on minors should have their practices closed down and licenses pulled.

For a start anyway. Beyond that…

Transgenderism in nature?? What in the wide wide world of sports is that and why does it matter?

Transgenderism in nature?? What in the wide wide world of sports is that and why does it matter?

Good question, but if all the gender-benders out there cannot demonstrate it occurring elsewhere in nature, then they are all left stuck claiming it is a feature UNIQUE just to human beings! Which is even more specious demanding a scientific explanation of how such a mechanism developed only in man out of millions and millions of other specious.

Failing to do that, all that is left is to admit it is all a mental aberration. Put simply: a figment of their IMAGINATION.

"...The Washington Free Beacon reports that a detransitioner named Frank Smith “told lawmakers he agreed to genital surgery and breast implants while addicted to meth and has had to navigate his way to detransitioning on his own since the therapists he went to for help told him his remaining male characteristics caused his post-transition unhappiness. When he decided to remove the breast implants, Medicaid would not pay for the procedure so he had to save up on his own.”

“I could not afford complete anesthesia and they operated on me while I was awake with only a little numbing cream,” Smith said, explaining that he learned too late that he cannot reconstruct his former body if he changed his mind. “My muscles had been ripped off the bone in haste to fabricate female anatomy on a male chest. There is no reattaching them.”

Missouri makes progress advancing an authoritarian, neo-fascist, bigoted, and hateful agenda seeking to disadvantage and discriminate against transgender Americans.

Parents alone should be making decisions about healthcare for their children.

‘The bills [that ban gender-affirming care] are based on “information that’s completely wrong,” says Michelle Forcier, a pediatrician and professor of pediatrics at Brown University. Forcier literally helped write the book on how to provide evidence-based gender care to young people. She is also an assistant dean of admissions at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Those laws“are absolutely, absolutely incorrect” about the science of gender-affirming care for young people, she says. “[Inaccurate information] is there to create drama. It’s there to make people take a side.”’

Another "Clayton original", bloviation stating his ignorant opinion as fact.

Do we allow children to drive?

Do we allow children to work 40 hours a week in factories?

Do we allow children to go to war?

What about if the parents give consent?

No?

Then why would we allow them to decide a virtually irreversible amputation and sterilization?

What they need is therapy...not sterilization and amputations.

And if, when they reach the age of adulthood, they decide to have their nuts cut off and their penis turned inside out, or have their breasts cut off, their womb and ovaries cut out and their vagina turned inside out...they can do that...or whatever else they wish.

But they will be adults and fully understand the ramifications of their decision.

That's not authoritarianism...that's common sense.

Which explains exactly why it is completely unrecognizable to you.

And if the parent said the wanted their child's legs amputated?

Or have them castrated?

Or lobotomized?

You are such an idiotic sheeple.

Regurgitating whatever bullshit you're fed without a seconds worth of personal critical thinking.

Well said.

Personally I would ban all such decisions till the person is legally old enough to drink a beer.

If a man thinks he is Napoleon or Alexander the Great, society should treat him in a psychiatric institution.
And if he thinks he is a woman, society should respect his choice.
That's all you need to know about the transgender movement.
