The thing I remember most about Mississippi was the Salty Dog bar. Just outside the gate of the Sea Bee base.

You only went in there for two reasons, you wanted to get so drunk you no longer existed or get so fucked you still exist.

The danger was, if you did both at the exact moment in time when the Universe is conspiring against you, you could end up married.

Speaking of birds and bees I also remember the black skimmers nesting on the beach, a beautiful sight.
