My daughter has a 2002 Prius hybrid. She took me back and forth to a doctor's appointment. The readout indicated that she got over 90 mpg on the trip (with little wear on the tires). I asked her if it had power. She floored it and put me against the seat. Very impressive. I will buy a hybrid in the future.

/----/ He bought the first Prius ten years ago. It was used and cost $20k. I forgot how many miles were on it, but he had 135,000 miles on it when he traded it in for a new Camry hybrid. I suggested he do it because he's 81 and lives alone in a small town. I was concerned he would break down on a remote NC road. He had the $$$ so he traded it in for a new one.
