The whole point of civil disobedience is to challenge laws you find unjust, and convince others of them being unjust.

You do that by violating the law, being arrested for it, paying the fine/serving the time, and then going RIGHT BACK OUT and do it again.

The issue for the left is this requires patience and the desire to convince others of the righteousness of your actions. They prefer to insult those opposing them and use the most autocratic parts of the government itself to get the change they want.
