there were less than 20 complaints on the guy and the neighbor that he shot was black and there fore a constant threat so i guess this is ok?

They are allowing a person they acknowledge is a danger to himself and others to remain free rather than take the chance he will be injured or injure the police officers taking him into custody for incarceration in a mental health facility. This is the kind of policing that you want and is the direct result of the defund the police movement that you supported so vigorously.

Why should the police do anything more than the absolute minimum when just putting a criminal in cuffs and keeping him from running away gets a police officer a prison sentence?

My guess is, for whatever reasons the police have, this guy is under 24 hour surveillance and they are waiting to snatch him. Of course, he is probably armed when outside, and that is another problem, a mentally ill lunatic with guns who likes to shoot his neighbors.

I guess he has not left his house since the shooting. Why not cut water and power to the property? I realize the police cannot state their intentions publicly but they could do a better job explaining than they did.
