I have never heard of an excuse like this police officer provides. They think he is a "threat" so they allow him to stay in his home? What is going on in the Minneapolis police dept.?

there were less than 20 complaints on the guy and the neighbor that he shot was black and there fore a constant threat so i guess this is ok?

there has got to be something we don't know.

See this is a prime example of white privilege. This black man should have handled up on this clown a long time ago.

Defunding the police has unintended consequences.

This has nothing to do with defunding the police, this is white privilege at their best.
It has a lot to do with refunding the police after George Floyd.

Police protect Black folks too.

Where were those conflict de-escalation councilor we heard so much about?

This isn't white privilege, it's an emasculated police department afraid of confrontation. They are allowing a person they acknowledge is a danger to himself and others to remain free rather than take the chance he will be injured or injure the police officers taking him into custody for incarceration in a mental health facility. This is the kind of policing that you want and is the direct result of the defund the police movement that you supported so vigorously.

You see a story of an impotent police force in Minneapolis and it is understandable to wonder if, after the George Floyd murder, that this force is no longer capable of aggressive policing. How can you not draw such a conclusion?

Something is seriously wrong here, and it seems to be exactly the inverse of the problems this force had in the past. Someone needs to find out what is wrong.

So, a white man shoots a black man working in his yard and the police don't arrest his ass because they are afraid of confrontation. Man go on somewhere with that bullshit, if the tables were turned they damn sure wouldn't be afraid.

Man go on somewhere with that weak ass argument, if this dude were black his ass would have been arrested or killed the same day.

Why should the police do anything more than the absolute minimum when just putting a criminal in cuffs and keeping him from running away gets a police officer a prison sentence?

Minneapolis gets exactly the policing the criminals wanted... Almost none at all.

Are you afraid whites will riot if they put a bullet in the shooters head?

I thought you guys only did that when you lost elections?

It would be fine.

When the cops kill a white criminal...white people are like...oh well...

...**** around, find out.

My guess is, for whatever reasons the police have, this guy is under 24 hour surveillance and they are waiting to snatch him. Of course, he is probably armed when outside, and that is another problem, a mentally ill lunatic with guns who likes to shoot his neighbors.

I guess he has not left his house since the shooting. Why not cut water and power to the property? I realize the police cannot state their intentions publicly but they could do a better job explaining than they did.

Bull, you are trying to deflect because this is the foreseeable result of all the crap you and your friends were spouting four years ago.

After a six hour standoff, he is now in custody.

Why didn't the liberal city council send in the social workers?
