SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Puerto Rico's governor is endorsing Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Alejandro Garcia Padilla on Wednesday said Clinton is an ally who has backed his administration's initiatives to help pull Puerto Rico out of a 10-year economic slump.

Garcia is one of seven Democratic convention super delegates from Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rican Democrats will choose 67 delegates to the party's national convention on June 5.
