Milton McGregor is moving full-speed ahead to reopen VictoryLand in Macon County after a judge put an end to a five-year battle waged by the state over his use of electronic bingo gaming machines.
McGregor said he has received 3,500 job applications since the Oct. 2 ruling by a circuit court judge said the state had no cause to confiscate 1,600 machines from VictoryLand in 2013 while the same machines ran at other facilities across the state without being raided. The state took about 5,000 machines from VictoryLand in a previous raid.
