Mike Johnson gets shredded on the house floor

Americans don’t like pardoning the violent MAGAs who beat cops on January 6th. You weirdos are so out of step with the people.
Really?

Then why did you people lose everything....House, Senate, and POTUS? Not to mention solid gop percentage gains, even in the blue states.

Go ahead, keep acting-out over something that no longer matters....It bodes well for gop chances in the mid-terms.

LOL.....You are the Raskin of USMB. :laughing0301:

Trump didn't exactly advertise that he was going to pardon the rioters who beat cops on his behalf.

If he had made that part of his platform, maybe things would have been different.

LOL, yes you do. Both sides are highly hypocritical concerning the pardons but that doesn't excuse you lying.

No, I don’t see any Republicans condoning violence against police officers.

They weren't disproportionally charged. Elijah McClain was killed for simply wanting to be left alone and Republicans blamed him. A man gets put in prison for assaulting an officer and the sentence was disproportional?

What are you talking about? The disproportionality I am talking about about is assault on a police officer. How many BLM rioters served as much time for the same crime as those who assaulted officers on Jan. 6?

Not likely. I can't think of anything Trump could have done that would have caused people to get behind Harris. This loss wasn't on Trump, it was on Democrats.

And Americans don’t like Biden’s pre-emotive pardons. I would be willing to bet you that more people disagree with what Biden did before leaving office than what Trump did. You likely live in an urban, blue area and are insulated from the rest of the country. It is you weirdos that are out of step. You just don’t realize it in your little bubbles.

When you are arguing to pardon people for doing so, you are condoning the violence. This wasn't just arguing for a lesser sentence, this was a pardon.

Who assaulted an officer and what was their sentence? You have no idea as you simply found a talking point and running with it.

Since when are we not allowed to have opinions about the way the president uses their constitutional power?

It's every American's place to question the actions of their elected leaders.
Didnt say you werent.
IDK the context of this exchange so I cant comment further.

Arguing who did the worse thing. That is setting an incredibly low bar for the country.

It was always an expectation of his supporters.....It was fulfilled and it's over. Done and done.

But please, don't move on as we have a lot more expectations in need of fulfilling and would prefer you people to be still stuck on and harping on J-6.

I think you're right, American's don't like preemptive pardons. This isn't an either/or. It's not a contest. Both can be bad. Whether one is worse than the other changes nothing about the fact that American's don't approve of Trump pardoning his violent loyalists.

You're just searching for ways to cope with Trump's indefensible behavior.

Does JD Vance count as one of his supporters?

He certainly didn't see it coming.

Yep. What we saw were millions of Americans who for the last 4 years, were unable to speak up about how they felt Biden's regime was doing for fear of backlash, canceled, etc. So instead, the majority of Americans spoke with their vote.
It's exactly what some on the left are beginning to do by calling out their own for going way to far on policies and opinions. The left has lines, they've crossed them all, and now even the left, can't call the left out for their ridiculous stances.

Oh, so you agree with Vance now? How convenient.
I’m just pointing out that people who say we knew he was going to pardon violent offenders are gaslighting.

You can’t really take anything Trump says at face value. Even his supporters don’t.

Sadly you can't take anything his supporters say as factual either.

Everyone knew it was coming, right or wrong, the writing was on the wall. The Left used J6 as a tool to stop Trump from running again. That was the scope of J6. It didn't work. I don't agree with retaliatory political pardons. But the J6 was a witch hunt. The left poked the bear and now the bear is awake.
