I was talking about the end of the Robber Baron era. If you knew our history, it would have been obvious.
Does money play more or less of a role in politics today than it did back then?
 
The only one complaining about insider trading is Donald J Trump... he can't do anything about it... only congress can... and they won't... If Mike thinks he is paid too little.... get a better job... and that goes for all of them...
 
A party that picks Mike Johnson as Speaker is not

1. patriotic to America
2. fiscally conservative
3. honest
4. concerned with US National Interest
That might have been true in 1954 when the parties somewhat were influenced by voters, and we still had a national identity and real values. In this landscape he is the norm for both parties, where the Congress looks more like the Village People than Mr Smith goes to Washington.
