This is serious and I hope no one is seriously hurt, but when I read "revenge on debate team" I LOL'd.

This is actually a lesson in why violent unstable people gravitate toward guns. They feel they haven't been heard, that they are not significant or important enough, that life is unfair and they've been marginalized unfairly by some group or institution. The resentment turns to rage and they look for an outlet, a means to force people to listen to them.

yep. That is why disarming law abiding citizens is stupid. It solves nothing.

One of the shootings that was reported here ... one of the nutters actually wrote that it wasn't important because so few were killed.

Wrong nuthead, this one BUCKS the norm. No causalties, because an armed off duty police officer who just happened to be dropping of his kid and a brave teacher stopped the kid. If it wasn't for the armed officer he wouldn't have stopped.

Same with the CO shooting, one causalty, because an ARMED officer luckily was on campus to corner and stop the little bastard.

These are exceptions to the norm, because mental midget liberals like you just want to keep schools the easy targets they are!

Some middle school social studies liberal faggot unloaded this news on my daughter today. I told her to ignore the liberal filth and I will be having a talk with this ass pumper before it's all done, and filing a complaint.

Any insight as to the teacher's interpretation of the incident?

My daughter is too young to understand politics and the nature of the 2nd although I do discuss these things. From the description he told the class, angrily, to go home and watch what happened in NM. There were some comments about the evil of guns etc. Just another liberal teacher that deserves a punch in the face.

A shooting in a middle school in Roswell, N.M., has put the school on lockdown and police said that a suspect is in custody.

The suspected shooter was apprehended at Berrendo Middle School, according to police. Authorities have not said if there were any injuries.

Parents were asked by police not to go to the school right now as it is lockdown mode.

The Roswell incident is the latest school shooting to rattle the country. It comes one month after a gunman open fired at Arapahoe High School in Colorado.

Police said Karl Pierson, 18, who was armed with a shotgun, machete and had Molotov cocktails in his backpack, was intent on seeking "revenge" on the school's debate team instructor who had dropped him from the team.

Pierson came upon senior Claire Davis, 17, while looking for his intended target. He critically wounded the high school senior before police said he took his own life.

Davis died on Dec. 21 from her injuries.
