They said this was all a conspiracy, looks like once again being chipped is as real as you can get. The chips are growing in popularity while at the same time many wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole if they don't have too.
As one side ( that being the companies selling it) glamorize how great they are they are anything but that especially as the faster we move into futuristic technology we end up using for everything. Which is great and grand, it's convenient we can't deny that aspect of it. The down fall is once this enters into a Government aspect and they want us to all have them it can and will control you life and your ability to have money.
Just like a credit card they will be able to shut off when they want. Let's say you are late for a bill, a student loan with the flip of switch your not able to gain access to any cash, buy food etc.
We shouldn't admire these , i love technology but not when it comes to giving up my control to survival daily needs etc.
