I know people on welfare. (I volunteered to teach a basic financial literacy class, and it was all poor people.) They give NO thought as to whether or not they can afford another baby, knowing that other people will support it. And yes, some intentionally get pregnant, even though there are already three different baby daddies and not a single one paying child support.

You have politicians in DC, state and city level who are under the Democratic Socialists of America banner. AOC and Mamdani would be the two most well-known members. They seem to be more than welcome within the democratic party.

You cannot raise taxes in a crashed economy and Trump crashed the economy.

It’s the reason why Obama couldn’t raise taxes as well. And then after Obama revived the economy Republicans had retaken the House and Senate and there is no way Republicans would have let him cut taxes.

Similarly, the economy was in a mess when Clinton was elected because of the Reagan Crash and the first Gulf War. He had to get the economy back on track.

There has been no opportunity for Democrats to raise taxes. That would take a super majority in the Senate and Obama never really had one.

Sandy hook wasn’t any political motivated attack, and to suggest so is an insult to the poor kids that died at the hands of that mentally ill kid who couldn’t get help in Conn. for some reason
