Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Monday urged Latinos in the United States not to vote in November's midterm elections for politicians who have "mistreated" them, in response to a comment by former U.S. President Donald Trump. Obrador is equating what he sees as mistreatment of Mexico by Trump, as being the same as mistreatment of Latinos living in America.

Apparently Obrador is butthurt about Trump having coerced him into deploying 28,000 soldiers along the U.S.-Mexico border to keep out migrants, after threatening to slap tariffs on Mexican goods. He told Americans of Mexican and Latino descent that "if Mexico or some country in Latin America and the Caribbean is mistreated, do not vote for those parties and for those candidates whether they are from the Democratic or Republican party."

"When someone goes too far and causes offence, we'll call them out so that our countrymen help us. Because there are 40 million of us,"
Lopez Obrador told a news conference. "Don't forget your origins."

In addition to this lunacy combined with stupidity, Mexican Foreign Minister Marcello Ebrard said Trump was campaigning for the anti-Mexicanism that characterizes him. Ebrard also wrote on Twitter in reference to Trump's remarks, "In this government, we're patriots. And we have nothing to be ashamed about."

EARTH TO OBRADOR & EBRARD: Illegal aliens in the US may fall into the category you describe, but those of us who are Latino, and are US citizens, and many of us born here, Mexico is not our "origin". We are not your "countrymen". We are patriots of OUR country - the USA.

What a lot of gall these Mexican leaders have. When Trump (colloquially) said that Mexicans were "rapists", he was referring to Mexico City's bus & subway systems being segregated by sex. We don't see men buses & women buses in the US. So why the common thing in Mexico ? It's because Mexican men simply can't keep their hands off of Mexican women.

So maybe Ebrard and Obrador DO have something o be ashamed about. Maybe 3 things:
1. Mexico's apparent rape culture in which sexual assault is commonly regarded as normal.
2. Mexico's $30 Billion/year haul in remittances that they plunder from the US economy (according to the Pew Research Center)
3. Mexico's allowance for decades of millions of the poor violating US law, even having guidebooks for the migrants in how to evade US immigration authorities.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Biden's border policy is hurting legal Mexican immigrants more than anything Trump ever did, including tariffs. Obrador is just pissed that Trump's tariffs screwed him and his rich buddies out of all that easy free trade dough.

Lol 😂😂😂 Trump criticizing Mexican oligarchs is funny. Trump has been cheating people and laundering money for 50 years.

The Mexican president is interfering in our election process. I think we need to start a war with Mexico and beat the fucking shit out of them… Again.

From the halls of Montezuma…

Nothing funny about it. Despite the idiotic propaganda from leftist universities & media that the US is imperialist, the US engages in no imperialism whatsoever in 2022, and is the number 1 VICTIM of imperialism in the world, with over $150 Billion/year being pillaged out of the US economy by a number of countries, Mexico being the top offender at $30 Billion/year (the Vikings would be envious).

A few years back, then Mexican president Vicente Fox bragged that US remittances$$$ were Mexico's # 1 source of income, topping even their oil exports.

Spirit of 1845

For decades, Mexico has been violating the Monroe Doctrine by abetting the invasion of immigration criminals. It's time they be punished for the social and economic damage they've done. Seizing their offshore oil would be a nice payback.

I hate to say it, but I really think I tend to agree.
