Medicare and private insurance should not pay for unvaccinated who get Covid

It's amazing.
Liberals who bitch about corporate profits, and holding Big Pharma liable for medical devices and fully approved medications which Pharma has settled for millions of dollars. Harmed countless lives and is now settling with states over the opiate crises...
Now trust that same entity to deliver an experimental miracle cure and line up in droves screaming "me first".

Only because it's legally mandated, which it shouldn't be. If the Dems reinstate the individual mandate, it would apply to health insurance as well. Which is exactly why they shouldn't do that.
Unemployment compensation should be high enough to cover the cost of basic healthcare under our form of Capitalism.

Medicare and private insurance should not pay for unvaccinated who get Covid

A good place to start would be with all those covid-infected democrats in Texas and in the White House that Jen Psaki can't talk about. Obviously none of these people had the vax, or the vax DID NOT WORK.

Let me know when you bump them off all healthcare leaving the total cost to bear out of their pockets.

Anecdotal, but true nonetheless. Good friends of ours run a old landscaping business. Their insurance still covers themselves plus one employee and costs $2500/mo. Two years ago the mother had to have her gallbladder removed. They charged her a $13,000 copay. Called it "elective." Now they want a $6000 copay to rebuild her knee which she waited to do instead of just having both done at once years ago. Question: WTF good is corporate "health insurance"?

Medicare limits what the insurance companies can charge, dummies.

That is a great argument that the left refuses to hear because they know the vaccine they demand us to take has yet to be given the final approval from the FDA and after all this time what is the FDA waiting on?

Baloney. The results have been widely reported and have shown them to be safe and effective. Way more safe and effective than just sitting around and bitching about them. FDA approval won't make a bit of difference.

Medicare and private insurance should not pay for unvaccinated who get Covid.
Why should the government or all of us, through higher insurance rates, pay for the stupidity of the unvaccinated.
If you do not want to get vaccinated, fine, but pay your medical expenses if you get Covid.
Awesome... so medicare and private insurance should not pay for any health related illness to people who eat fast food a lot right?
Same thing?
And not pay for cancer/heart disease for smokers... not pay for any care from injuries due to a wreck if they were speeding... so...yeah... using your idea, insurance and medicare would pay for nothing.

God people are stupid.

We still won't take them, your "faith" in the Gov is very revealing.

Sure ElmerMudd
If you also include liability for the vaccine where people taking it can get all costs covered for any adverse reactions.

And if they don't believe in vaccines without testing or legal liability, those citizens have equal choice to pay for Medicare and Medical costs/insurance through separate programs that DON'T require vaccines, as long as dissenting taxpayers pay for their own medical cooperative networks.

I agree the best policy is to separate so all people have equal protections without conflict over their diverse beliefs that should be publicly accommodated.

Cool. So you are finally on board with Medicaid and private insurance not paying medical bills for lifestyle choices.

Yep iamwhatiseem
Once you have people paying for health care, personal beliefs are involved.
Whether about:
* abortion and reproductive health and options
* vaccines and risks of infection or immunity people are willing or not willing to pay for
* using spiritual healing or magnetic therapy to cure cancer and other diseases
* reparative therapy or transition hormones for LGBT identity or orientation
* beliefs about health care rights belonging to people, states or federal govt
* drug use or addictive conditions
Etc.

We can still have Medicare for where we all agree. But organize into Cooperatives where different parties, groups or districts can agree to their own rules and terms of services and how to pay.

You are right : this would lead to minimal govt since it is very limited where the entire public agrees on uniform terms universally.

Exactly!

It's not "hyperbole." These people have deliberately chosen to endanger their fellow Americans and even their own families.
True.

Conservatives and libertarians actually consider this a form of ‘legitimate’ civil disobedience; their unwarranted, baseless opposition to being vaccinated and wearing masks is reprehensible and wrong.

Which drives the cost up for everyone else, dummy......

Which drives the cost up for everyone else, dummy......
Presuming Medicare-For-All, dummy.........

Once again, WTF good is corporate "health insurance"? After paying $2500 x 12 for years they still demand a $13,000 copay to remove a gallbladder by calling it "elective surgery." How is that not "driv{ing} the cost up for everyone else, dummy......"?

Medicare caps costs for everyone, especially those who never fall for "Medicare Advantage" robbery schemes.

Gallbladder removal:
"Patient pays (average)

$1,148"
