For once, I am not speaking for the Catholic Faith (with the following)--whether we are talking about the novus ordo Church, the SSPX or the Sedevacantist, the latter being that group fortunate enough to have found the TRUE Catholic faith (ditched at Vatican II).

But I have sometimes wondered if God, in His infinite Wisdom does not punish us, or maybe some of us or whatever, for sins before we commit them, since He knows absolutely what we are capable of.

I really don't know if He does or not. It doesn't, at first, sound like God to do such things, but we look around and see all the evil and all the misery in the world.. and sometimes we Christians feel like He is punishing us.. Maybe it is just the 3 enemies punishing us (?): the world, the flesh and the devil

But it sometimes seems like it is God.. because after all, He DOES allow all this pain and suffering.

:dunno:

I think of this one poster here, Anathema, who hates God and doesn't want to do things His Way. He has a lot of sufferings that he says began at the beginning of his life. Well, many people can say that same thing, although Anathema admitted he doesn't care about the sufferings of others. That was a few days ago.. I guess things could have changed. But anyway... No one today wants to believe God punishes ANYTHING. Maybe a better word would be Chastise, not Punish. But in any case, despite many people thinking that God should never punish anyone.. He nonetheless allows the world to be Hell on Earth at times, and no one seems to have an answer as to WHY that is.

So yeh.. I'm just seeking answers but I doubt I'll find any RE this topic, not in this crazy world.

Says here I am ignoring content from Irish Ram

so yeh... here kitty kitty

What is He punishing a believer for? Pre sinning? If you belong to Christ, your sins were nailed to the cross. God doesn't even remember them. When He looks at you, He sees you covered in the blood of the Lamb.
Dominion over this earth has been in the hands of Satan ever since Adam turned over the keys.
Satan's reign is for a specific time and is coming to an end along with all the pain and suffering he is responsible for.

IF YOU think youre being punished now, just wait.

IF YOU think youre being punished now, just wait.
I'm putting you on Ignore.

You have NO charity toward other Christians and arrogantly think you are one of the only ones saved.. yet you cannot and WILL not be saved without Charity

1 Corinthians 13

Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition

13 If I speak with the tongues of men, and of angels, and have not charity, [like Irish Ram and Ninja] I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And if I should have prophecy and should know all mysteries, and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And if I should distribute all my goods to feed the poor, and if I should deliver my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4 Charity is patient, is kind: charity envieth not, dealeth not perversely; is not puffed up;

5 Is not ambitious, seeketh not her own, is not provoked to anger, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth with the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never falleth away: whether prophecies shall be made void, or tongues shall cease, or knowledge shall be destroyed.

Actually, I don't know if Irish Ram said something uncharitable bc she is on Ignore but she usually does
