@all the people who are sure that the reason the Trump admin isn't releasing the Epstein files is because he's implicated in them.

Can you answer a few questions.

The only reason the Epstein files being released or not is an issue is because Trump said he would do so on the campaign trail correct? Biden could have released them but no one was screaming and gnashing their teeth that he wasn't. This was a non issue until Trump made it an issue. Correct?

Wrong! He said he would release them but when they were released from the area where they were kept, he suddenly did NOT release them, bringing the question "why did he change his mind" into play.

Do you think Trump forgot that he was a client of Epstein? That it just slipped his mind that he fucked an underaged girl and was being blackmailed by this guy? Or at a minimum fucked an underaged girl via Epstein?

He was not aware of what the files contained. He thought they might incriminate others (not him) but then when he found out what they did contained, he chickened out.

Trump could have pardoned Maxwell when he was President the first time couldn't he? She was indicted before the election, so once he lost if she were a threat to expose his predilection for banging underaged women why wouldn't he have just pardoned her then? It seems a dubious plan to bank on her keeping quiet all through the trial, through conviction and incarceration with the assurance that if Trump is elected again he will move her to a "better" prison.

Your question has no clear answer now but then again, why is he considering it now when the Epstein files are now HOT stuff.

Trump/Trump's DOJ had access to these files while he was President the last time. If he knew he'd partaken of Epstein's services wouldn't he have had his DOJ look to see if he were implicated and known then that any release of said files would be really bad for him? And so making an issue of their release on the campaign trail would be a really bad idea?

No, the access had to be requested. Biden did not request it, meaning he had no knowledge of what they contained. Biden has never been in the corner of "digging up dirt on others". Trump has always been in that corner.

Sorry but it just doesn't make logical sense (to me anyway) that the reasoning behind not releasing the files has to do with Trump being implicated in what Epstein was doing. The entire controversy over the release of these files was created by Trump during the last election cycle. I wouldnt put it past any politician to own goal themselves so maybe that's what's happened. Seems dubious at best.

Simple question that based on your post, you should be able to answer. "why did Trump say he would release the file and now that he knows what is in it, why has he changed his mind?
