Should they be trying to have less power?

Sure, that would be nice. But, mostly, they should remember that they're supposed to represent the whole country - not just their "side" of the motherfucking culture war. But this won't happen with our current system, which is setup to block anything other than the two shit parties.

Ds and Rs both seem to think the purpose of government is to get one over on people you don't like. To "win" and force their preferences on everyone else. They don't want consensus. They want power.

We will never be rid of the 2 Party System. The top priority IMO is to get the politics out of "News" and "Entertainment" Shows. There are isolated examples that it can be done. NewsNation is doing a reasonable job trying to engage both sides of issues and calling out each Party not just one. Shows like The View should be removed if they can't let go of the GOP Trump bashing. Late Night "entertainment" should be entertaining to the entire country, not just a minority of Trump Haters.

Let's start there because that is doable. Removing the 2 Party system is not.

It's not a matter of shaking it off or "courage". Your lame attempt at an insult noted and ignored. The point you are missing is the Media was always supposed to be the eyes and ears of the people. But they have been morphed into the propaganda wing of the Democratic Party.

We're so divided because the two parties (and yes, their friends in the media) WANT it that way. It's how they ply their trade. It's how the sell their shitty candidates and keep everyone scared.
