This nomination is the ultimate sign that Trump does not care about the country but only cares about himself.

The Attorney General is considered the people’s lawyer representing the people and the law. It is not supposed to be political and representing one side only.

Matt Goetz is on the Far Right and represents totally the bias against those that oppose the right (Democrats, Independents and every citizen of the U.S). Goetz is totally incapable of being non-partisan. There is zero doubt about this.

NPR needs to try actually reading the Constitution. All constitutional law enforcement authority is derived from the President. That's why the DOJ is an executive branch dept. That gives the president every right to establish priorities for the DOJ. The DOJ needs a house cleaning and it's going to take someone from the outside to get it done.

That said, I actually have some doubts if Goetz is the best man for the job, despite his being on the judiciary and intel committees.

TBH he's my least fave pick so far. Thus far I have liked them all (albeit I think Pete Hegseth is a decent pick but a scumbag of a husband, and I note his Fox colleagues are rather tepid in praise).
