Here's what concerns me the most.

We know that Trump wants revenge for those who have held him publicly accountable, and that's his top priority. So, with concern for absolutely nothing else and wanting the most aggressive, shameless and dengenerate individual he can imagine to help him, he naturally thinks of Gaetz.

Surely he didn't keep this idea to himself. That means that, as we have expected, there is no one around him to tell him "no". No one around him to introduce reason or logic into a conversation. They're all afraid to, and they will never say a discouraging word to him, no matter what.

How many times in world history have we seen this exact situation play out, with disasterous consequences? We're seeing it happen in Russia, North Korea and China at this very moment. The all-powerful leader becomes isolated and insulated, and makes incredibly destructive decisions.

And this one is not even in office yet.
