You left out the important part of what I said. I didn't say there is no hope. I said IF people continue to put partisanship first above truth, it is hopeless and will get worse. Besides, I absolutely have hope and it isn't in any politicians or government.

We are a partisan nation... I find one side to be the dishonest side... and that side just had its butt handed to them... don't give up man... no matter what side you fall on... the founders designed it this way and its worked for 250 years...

That's idiotic. The Ethics committee is split evenly 50/50. They don't produced biased reports because they work in a bipartisan fashion.

Both sides say that. I remember when Dems said that about all the charges against Clinton (even though the charges against him were real, and those were just the tip of the iceberg!) The cry wolf effect is real, and I for one think that is a very bad thing. Because if both sides say that the other side is just trying to destroy someone for political reasons and if both sides ignore any charges because of the cry wolf effect..... then eventually no one is going to care about ANY charges or dig deeper if it's someone in their own party, which means corruption and sickos in DC will continue to reign.

I don't like that, at all. But unlike a lot of folks, I don't have that hopium that things are going to get better. What more people need to understand is that both parties are corrupt and there are a lot of frauds and puppets, and unless people stop putting partisanship first and put truth first, it is hopeless and will only get worse.

The thing is in the Clinton impeachment is that you are right. The charges were based on real crimes that he had committed and were 100% verifiable, that he in effect admitted to.

Nevertheless, IMO the impeachment was wrong and was politically motivated. The only redeeming factor the GOP had was that they didn't manufacture or exaggerate crimes they used to impeach him. The GOP controlled Senate wisely realized that the crimes, though serious, did not rise the the level of high crimes and misdemeanors as the Founders intended and it refused to convict and remove him from office. But the GOP controlled House definitely did the nation a huge disservice in that by setting an unfortunate precedent to make impeachment a political tool instead of the final solution to remove a truly bad actor from the office.

But I hope most Americans get behind President Trump and the MAGA team he is putting together for the explicit purpose of ejecting as much of the fraud and corruption as they can and restore a government of, for and by the people of a great nation.
