Clearly I'm in a tiny minority here...but is it really THAT hard to find a person for the job who doesn't have so much baggage? Who doesn't have such weird stuff surrounding him?
The job of AG should be someone honorable and trustworthy, someone above reproach. I just don't have a good feeling about this Gaetz guy, and it has zero to do with politics.
And TBH I'm getting sick to death of the retarded blind partisanship here, where both sides defend their criminals, no matter what, day in and day out. I feel like I'm living on a different galaxy, for just wanting the actual truth instead of continuously doing the back and forth partisan dick waving.

Because the testimony was the omly hard evidence and was not sufficiently credible. They lacked hard evidence, which would be necessary to prove beyond a reasonable doubt. Everything else was circumstantial.

I back it up with the fact that after Garland saw her complaint he dropped the case.... Gaetz was not in the country on the dates she presented... case closed... Gaetz is not stupid... he knows if he was guilty the dems would be able to prove it during a confirmation hearing... you are not thinking...

The 'baggage' that you speak is totally created out of thin air to smear and cause the exact reaction that you just displayed. It's intent is to cause fatigue and it's rather successful generally. The problem is that they perpetuated it much too far with Trump and people began to realize exactly what was going on. They over played their hand, and it's no different with Gaetz. Just go look at some of the videos of him grilling the AG and exposing the obvious corruption Garland perpetrated, and you'll see exactly why they tried to go after him, defame him, and ruin his reputation. People have had enough.
