Massive railroad strike is a go this Friday.

I'm truly surprised that there hasn't been a general trucker's strike over Xiden fuel costs. Peerhaps ther'll be coordination and both rails and roads will shut down. THEN watch Xidenflation take off as the shortages and bare shelves bite!

Better, though that it happen in late October.

Not only do these huge railroad companies despise it's workforce and it's customers, it despises the public as a whole:
Profit statements at board meetings is ALL that matters to these people.
If they despise you, they are probably on the right track. Question? If their pay and working conditions and benefits are so bad, why did the take the job?

I hope that both management and workers will be patriotic and postpone the strike.

Americans are already suffering enough from the current inflation.

A strike would only cause more misery.

According to some sources, COVID is still a danger.

Now inflation.

This is no time for the railroads to administer another body blow to the American people.

All class 1 railroads are curtailing shipping this week in preparation for a strike, but more to persuade the public that this is the fault of the workers, when in fact it's the railroads that are stalling the negotiations.

Tish, tosh, who needs railroads? Those old, rusty clunky things running on diesel. Noisy, smelly, dirty things. No one needs them now that we have clean energy right? Those windmills and solar panels will deliver our goods for us! :spinner:

The sooner the better due to early voting scams!!

Where be Mr Transportation Secretary

Good question. If the Dems were at all in tune with the actual events of this nation, maybe they ought to be marching him out to answer questions instead of having Pelosi point out an applause sign to a group of hand-picked DC workers to fake-applaud the feckless Inflation Reduction Bill on a day that inflation is actually shooting up higher!

I have less sympathy for nurses because they stood behind the vax mandate and helped creat some of the problem. I am sympathetic to them when it comes to the crime in the metro that is giving them ptsd

They're F'in ultra-idiots!!

It was a railroad strike that brought Mussolini to power. His accomplishment was not "making the trains run on time," but making them run at all, when the Socialist-led unions decided to stop them.

The WWI veterans of the Black Shirts were easily able to figure out how to operate the trains and they were unafraid of union goons. The trains ran and starvation was averted.

When you have an empowered left making moves to ruin a nation's economy, it makes even fascists look good by comparison.

So maybe this railroad strike is desirable by the democrats? Maybe even engineered by them so that when the strike creates a crisis of food and supply right before the election, they can swoop Joe Biden in with his red cape and blue tights to settle it, saving America and making the democrat party the saviors of the nation right before the midterms?

Is that the new gambit by the left to steal another election?

I think you may be onto something.

There is actually an MOS in the Army called Railroad Operations Specialist - 88U. There are less than two hundred of them but their training for that job is only five weeks, which means it could be streamlined to no more than two with the BS taken out.

Two weeks is long enough for the nation to start feeling the pinch and demanding action. Biden brings out his battalion of recently trained 88U's and "saves the nation," from his manufactured crises.
