On October 10th, a few short weeks ago the University of Maryland’s Program for Public Consultation, published the results of a study of Americans' reaction to "mass deportations" of our millions and millions and millions of people who are in our country illegally. The study concludes that Americans IN BOTH PARTIES reject mass deportations and would prefer that these criminal bastards be given a "path to citizenship."

If you read the article, the question was presented with the premise that there are "eleven million" illegals living in the U.S. today. It is impossible to overstate the foolishness of this premise. The "eleven million" number was first presented in 2007. Checking my non-Apple watch reveals that that was 17 years ago, and it was a dubious understatement the time. So the premise of the "study" was that the number of illegals did not change in the years between 2007 and 2021, when Trump left office, then hasn't changed since Biden opened the floodgates. The real number is AT LEAST thirty million, and even that is probably conservative.

Regardless, every Leftist pundit in the land has apparently read and internalized the results of this "study" with the result that every single article on Trump's first likely actions as President highlights "mass deportations." The assumption is that the readers will be reinforced with the Narrative that Orange Man Bad.

I think they are wrong. Maybe I am. Although I don't believe that we will have, literally, "mass deportations," I do not recoil in horror when I read that message. Indeed, it reinforces for me one of the main reasons why I voted for the obnoxious bastard.

Are you repulsed by the thought of "mass deportations"? Are you aware that the vast majority of the Biden Babies have been military-age men?

Nope. We’re deporting their useless asses.

Actually the number probably is 11 million, just not the same 11 million.

The 11 million in 2007 have probably gone home, or found other ways of securing legal residency (DACA, sponsorship, marriage to a citizen, etc.)

The thing is, yes, if Trump attempts mass deportation, you are going to have a lot of crying children asking the camera where Mama has gone. You are going to have people who are legally entitled to be here being rounded up by mistake, which will look really bad.

The other problem, of course, is that illegals who are truly off the grid are pretty good at staying off the grid.

When Brewer signed SB 1070 in 2010, some classrooms in the city of Mesa reduced by 25% overnight.

They will leave on their own if they know this is coming.

Crying children are caused by parents who put children in painful situations.

Seventy-two million American voters showed the University of Maryland that their study was nothing but hot air and wishful thinking.

Sorry, but your voting block is going to shrink.

Nobody wants to see misery, but you foisted it on them by kidding them into thinking they had an open door.

he picked the right guy for the job,,

and the number of illegals is closer to 30 million,, 10 million is just in the last 4 yrs,,

I cannot imagine how mass deportations can be realistically done, other than those who break the law and got arrested. Isn't that going to require a lot of INS agents to go find these people? Where's the money going to come from, and does Trump really have the authority to do that on a mass scale? I don't know, but my guess is that the democrats will tie it up in the courts for as long as they can. I remember some 20+ years ago when the INS did raids on certain businesses to check for illegals, so are we going back to that?

I wonder if an illegal gets processed with a court date to show why they should be allowed to stay, is that recorded on a database somewhere that can be accessed when that person applies for any kind of gov't assistance or to vote, including SSA, Medicare/Medicaid, etc. I assume it is cuz the democrats want employers to deny employment to them, right? Do we pay off their student loans or give them a gov't backed mortgage? Are they getting unauthorized benefits of citizenship? Surely the Left realizes that is not sustainable.

I guess I'm unsure of what Trump can do and what he can't. And how it'll be done and what it will cost. I kinda think we should be told this stuff.

we can take the 86K IRS agents and make them INS agents,,

as for the cost,, thats nothing compared to what it cost us to allow them to stay,,

We can start with the criminals

We can start with the criminals

Okay. Very few undocumented immigrants commit crimes.

Then what?

You are back to the same problem. Little Maria crying because her mom was deported because even though she and her dad had been together for 10 years, she wasn't a citizen or legal migrant.

500,000 undocumented immigrants are married to US citizens.

I don't believe Trump can do that without Congressional approval. Were those 86,000 new agents created by law? I kinda think the democrats did it that way, and I'm guessing they'll take it to the courts if the attempt is made to switch them to a different function.

That may be true, but irrelevant. IMHO, existing law allows for deportations of individuals on a case by case basis, no? But mass deportations is another story, sorta like Biden's mass student loan forgiveness program that got shot down. He kinda did it anyway, but I'm guessing for a lot fewer cases. I don't know for sure, but deplacing some 30 million people is not a job to be taken lightly.

hes chief executive and can move people around all he wants,,

he can even do mass layoffs to restructure the executive branch,,

why are you defending rapists and murderers remaining in this country??

There is nothing stopping Maria and dad from joining Mom.
