Martin Ebanuyzer was a man with superpowers. If he got close enough to you he could erase your thoughts and make you so blank minded if he were to ask you a question you would be hesitant to respond, being lost in a stupor. With your thoughts forgotten and unable to make rational decisions, you are essentially intellectually disabled. Martin could make you little more than an empty madigan simply through being near you.

Were the circumstances optimum Martin could make you fall asleep. This power of forced slumber was one of his favorite tricks. He rode trains and airplanes numerous times to practice this power, wilfully casting his subjects away in a peaceful sleep, unable to defend themselves, open to any and all attacks.

He also possessed the superpower of commanding his subject to locate him. All he needed to do was want someone to call him on his phone and they would call him, usually in a timely manner. If he wanted to be located he would project his command into his subject's mind forcefully without their permission, sort of like an unwelcome advertisement. They wouldn't know he was commanding them psychically to locate him and had they known how he actually forced them to find him they might say he was kind of a creep and would tell him to stop. But they didn't know and he never told them.

Martin could also project emotions through his subjects, forcing them to feel what he felt and he could feel what he wanted to feel at will. Hands off manipulation of people became his calling and he would use these powers to gain nearly anything he wanted so long as he chose the right subject. He could make the most steady and true man of value and worth crumble stupidly before him into an emotional clusterfuck of confusion. And since he could make people locate him effortlessly, you could really say he had them in a suckertrap like nobody's business and they would always be helpless to his attacks.

He also had a religious belief to hate the stupid. He was pretty smart. Smarter than your average every day man, but no genius. He knew geniuses, his religious cult possessing a few of them. Overall though you could say as intelligence goes, they were above average across the board, not all that much impressive, which makes their rule of hating and attacking the stupid all that more perplexing, given that they weren't top notch themselves.

How can he practice a religion of hating the stupid if his superpower made people stupid? If he were a teacher his students couldn't pass! They wouldn't be able to retain his so called knowledge to a default because he was erasing their minds! They would only be able to learn through homework, when he wasn't around to stall their brains.

But you see, their rule against stupidity was anything but what it seems from the outside. They prided themselves in cunning deception, betrayal and treachery, so, if you excelled at these things you were considered smart whether or not your education was top notch or poor. With that in mind, Martin Ebanuyzer was a petty smart man under both measures. He could make a sucker out of you for sure if you weren't already wise to his cultish ways.

That was another thing about this hypocritical cult. They held this belief that they were the greats destined to rule to world and control us all. Yes, they genuinely believed that. They were riding a high horse of self importance built on knowledge of deception and betrayal, essentially making them pirates or like a circus or an oppressive regime of dictators fighting for control of their cult, using whatever cruel means available to their own benefit, no matter how depraved and evil the deeds carried out were.

Since they believed in their own greatness to such a high measure they of course deemed anyone that didn't read their literature to be uneducated infidels and if you did read their literature and disagreed they were to threaten your life if you spoke against them, effectively making them terrorists by anyones observation.

And Martin Ebanuyzer was every bit neck deep into this cult as anyone else who was in it. His belief in hating and attacking the stupid worked against him, for, how could anyone be smart while in his prescence? Anyone he met could be deemed an infidel of his cult by default because anyone he interracted with would have their ability to intellectually function disabled so long as they communicated with him. And impressing people was a prideful part of his religion. He expected his subjects to impress him, but how could they do so if they couldn't even mentally function to save their lives? No, Martin was a hypocrite who would make demands that couldn't be fulfilled. The rules of his cult was a thin cover to make the cops happy. Truth was, once on the inside, there were no rules. They were all backstabbing hypocrites.

Martin Ebanuyzer used his superpower to torture innocent people. He would trap them under his mind eraser power and belittle them for being stupid. They were stupid because they couldn't pass his quiz, being blank minded and all, and they were stupid because they weren't clever enough to avoid him. But truth is, without his superpowers, Ebanuyzer would be no better than them. Thusly, making Martin Ebanuyzer a complete hypocrite.
