leftwinger, I sure hope that you don't mind that I'm making this a separate topic, but I just wanted to make sure that she was exposed to everybody on here still supporting this woman!! I got no words, I just can't even believe that this is real right now.
She may hopefully be getting it. MAGA is toxic garbage. It doesn't bother Trump or MAGA that she is receiving death threats from MAGA. Why are Trump and Republicans refusing to release the Epstein files? What is Trump hiding? In addition, a lot of her constituents receive help from the ACA. She is working on behalf of her constituents. That is what a House and Senate member should be doing.
She is seeing the truck that is bearing down on Republicans in the 2026 midterms and she is thinking about getting out of the way. Trump and other Republicans are claiming there is no truck. They are the Wile E Coyotes of politics.
Then why is he opposing it?

Trump never said that he was opposing it. Nobody's hiding anything except the democrats refusing to release it.

And he is on the record saying we should stop talking about it. Nothing to see here, folks!!!

Does someone have to explicitly state the words "I do not want to release the Epstein files" for you to finally get the clue that they don't want to do it? What he HAS said, and his ACTIONS, and the lengths he has gone to attack and try to demonize any Republicans who want the whole truth to be released OBVIOUSLY show that he doesn't want to release it. And he wants the whole thing to go away.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not under the illusion that the whole truth would ever come out anyway.
I think that even if he DID cave in to pressure and released the "files", it wouldn't be the whole truth anyway. Most of them are creeps and liars at the highest levels, regardless of side, and they protect each other. Namely because both sides are guilty, so they can't "out" the other side without outing themselves.
As George Carlin accurately put it, "It's a big club. And you aint in it!" That's something you clearly just don't realize yet, and I don't know if you ever will.

All I've ever heard him say were that the Epstein files are made up and he's wondering why we're still talking about them. I don't agree with him for taking that attitude but that's different from him saying that he doesn't want them released.

They (Prosecutors/Courts) decided only Epstien did wrong. Case sealed and closed. Epstein sent to his death within 30 days?
The real concern is the Deep State has altered, edited or deleted information in these files. Even Epstein emails are basically a Text file? Do the math. STAIN. if you can.
Perhaps Dershowitz or another lawyer has originals? For use catching the Deep State in criminal alterations of evidence?

I haven't followed it closely. But regarding Alan Dershowitz, I believe him. He's been attacked ruthlessly by his own (former) party for years now. That takes balls and he's got 'em. He also had the courage to defend Trump in one of those silly impeachment trials. He's no conservative.
He's no Trumper.
But he's a man of principle, from what I can see.
As for MTG. I've always sort of liked her ... but from a distance. I'm not sure she's wrapped real tight.
Obviously, he doesn't want the whole thing exposed. Why, we can only guess. Normally, TRUMP! tells people to take a hike when they oppose something he wants to do, and when he makes a big deal about doing something it's because he's not afraid to do it, but in this case something or someone made him pivot and he's left blustering. I believe it's the rich and powerful protecting themselves again, and no, we won't ever see the entire list. I would also note that it requires TRUMP! to be in office for anyone to really care about this. Four years of Quid Pro Joe and no one blinked or said anything. Only when it could possibly harm TRUMP!'s term in office is there a public uproar. That's sad and tells me that for many, it's more about TRUMP! than possible victims.
